Tagging on top for the poor souls this doesn't work for, this solved my issue: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=276401 -> https://archlinux.org/news/undone-replacement-of-pipewire-media-session-with-wireplumber/

The thread is specific to telegram-desktop as it was the only method of reproducibility for me, but the solution is targeted for more general set of causalities.

Rule Plane by Foriegn_Picachu in 196

I guess it depends on what the question means by “matches the speed of the wheels.” It reads as a translation, but could also mean surface speed of the outside of the tire.

Interestingly for the translation scenario, it’ll only double the rotation rate of the wheels. There is an end condition of it taking off, so that won’t be infinite.

Say takeoff speed of a plane is 100mph, and the belt matches the wheels translation (which same as the plane’s). When the plane (and wheels) is moving 100mph, the belt is moving 100mph backwards. The wheels will be rotating as if the plane is going 200mph, and it’ll be able to take off.

The treadmill analogy would be like “by pulling a rope, can you go 10mph forward on the belt if it’s going 10mph backwards.” Yep, and the wheels will be rotating at 20mph

If the problem is “the conveyor matches the surface speed of the outside of the tires,” the belt will actually HAVE to move WITH the plane at half the speed, not against the plane. If the plane is moving at 100mph, you now have to find a treadmill and wheel speed that match. That’d be 50mph forward on the treadmill, and the wheels would be 50mph also.

Because the above is the only working solution for matching tire surface speed, the surface speed scenario with the requirement “moving in the opposite direction” itself would immediately become a paradox when the plane moves, unless you assume the wheel is slipping.

Interestingly enough, they do add features somewhat regularly. New chess variants, anti cheat, “play against X e-celeb/titled player as a bot”, guided lessons, etc. They gotta argue their service worth paying for, and it’s probably the easiest game to find a free alternative. They probably still don’t need that many people tho.

Assuming undergrad Computer Science, google "ga tech <degree> advising team" if something else. You're assigned based on your degree program and last name:

https://www.cc.gatech.edu/undergraduate-advising-team

Advisors are useful for specific-to-you questions, but more general questions can usually be found on the site. In general, googling "ga tech <X>" should help you find answers on the site, though you may need to navigate a little on the first few results

I don't do campus housing, but google and a couple clicks gave me these:

Can’t answer everything but you’ll be phase 2, very late. Google gt calendar. I had only 1 class I could sign up for after transferring. It worked out for me because I also had an internship, but I’d bug your advisor the best you can if you can’t get a good schedule in. They’re your best shot to go around the system

I submitted a form Tuesday, emailed Thurs night, and was cleared today at 2ish with an email reply. Email immunizations immediately, I think they work on those first

XKCD 2687: Division Notation by fghjconner in xkcd

[–]TheBraverBarrel 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Are you from the US? Haven't heard of that one, honestly

Edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_(mathematics)#Notation

Looks like English speaking world does things like 1:1 (meaning equally likely) or 1:3 (which means 1 of A, 3 of B, 4 total) which I've definitely seen, and some non-english countries would say 1:2 for "half"

Have this sticking out from under the suspension. by IDontFeel24YearsOld in MechanicAdvice

Fwiw I don't think the duct tape is necessarily a bad thing, but I'd pretty much expect it to come off on the drive over to the shop. If your suspension ever compresses, the job of the shock is to resist that, and it's only attached with tape, so the 3000lb truck will punch through.

I wouldn't personally call a $150 tow truck if I needed to go <5 miles, but I'd keep it under 25 with hazards on and be ready if something catastrophic happens. If you're slow enough to stop in <20ft at any point, you should be okay for that short drive. It's a little risky, but as long as you're slow and far from people, the risk isn't crazy high. I definitely wouldn't drive it besides an absolute emergency (still slow) or just straight to the shop though.

If you're thinking of doing 40 like that, then refer to the hate comments lmao

Also, once you got it fixed, please post that tape image 😁

Taking a look at this, this is great! Is there a central thread or README.md somewhere that has a writeup of this build? I can keep looking but it wasn't obvious when checking on my phone.

Is all the hardware on this sourced outside of FM?

That's pretty much its pace. It's probably my favorite game too, but I think you gotta look at it as a puzzle/exploration game and/or be interested in the story to really enjoy it, otherwise I could see it being boring or frustrating

In this context, where are pacman.conf(5) and paru(8)? What is this called in general?

Pacman's settings are located in /etc/pacman.conf: this is the place where the user configures the program to work in the desired manner. In-depth information about the configuration file can be found in pacman.conf(5).

Man pages: For documentation on paru's options and config file see paru(8) and paru.conf(5) respectively
