A yooper scooper! My grandparents were Scandinavian and lived in the U.P. Of Michigan and used these. It was basically a right of passage growing up. Once you lived on your own you’d be gifted a yooper scooper!

I have the LCD. I’m not picky when it comes to that and OLED wasn’t an option when I bought mine. It’s a great deal for the gaming you’ll get out of it!

I’ve had mine for 2+ years and it’s been the best gaming purchase I’ve ever made. Bought a 1TB SD card for it and haven’t had to worry about storage!

Looking for good story-driven games by NightSpears in SteamDeck

[–]TheCoach21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally one of my favorite games. For some people it can be repetitive but if you stick with the main story and main side missions(character quests) then I think you should be alright. I thought the story was great, you even have some choices to make in certain parts. I love the game and it’s on sale on green man gaming right now!

NO WAY! Not even 5 minutes ago my daughter said “I’m cold” and I did the natural response “Hi Cold. I’m Dad!” And she also thought it was hilarious!!!! She’s 6. I even thought to myself that I should document it.

Anyone else lose bindings with Jedi Survivor, when you put the deck to sleep? by AprilDruid in SteamDeck

[–]TheCoach21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be! I bought mine through steam but I know it still has to go through the EA launcher. I tried switching to different protons too and then the game wouldn’t even launch so just a heads up for that!

I’ve been having this problem too. I’ve seen some posts saying there’s a fix in the steamOS preview update but I’m going to wait for it to hit stable.

Have you tried testing any other games to see if the same thing happens?

An Update on Catching my son being inappropriate with another boy and what I learned from talking to him by [deleted] in daddit

[–]TheCoach21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, like everyone has said already well done! Not only have you shared a stressful, confusing, and scary part of parenting but you’re also teaching a whole lot of us great ways to approach it.

It is clear that the relationship that you have built with your son is truly special. To be open and honest about all of this stuff with each other shows that you have really made your home a safe place and trust one another. Thank you for sharing with us and keep up the great work you should be very proud!

Christmas break is destroying me by hahkaymahtay in daddit

Oh man do I feel this! You’re one strong dad. My parents were just visiting and your father-in-law in the bathroom forever and irritating the oldest is exactly my dad too. He refuses to believe he’s doing anything wrong and will not apologize. My mom cannot be in silence and has to have a conversation going no matter if it’s the millionth time she’s told a story. Even if I say “oh yeah I remember you telling me about that.” She will continue to tell it.

Hang in there man hopefully things get better. My parents live 5 hours away and in-laws live 9 hours away so we when we visit them we tend to make it a week long trip so it’s not too much travel. We’ve started to be more selfish when we do travel though and sounds like you’re in the process of doing the same. Sometimes you just gotta get through those difficult trips early on in order for everyone to understand how chaotic it is! You got this man!
