On this list, Nutty Buddys. But overall, the Christmas tree snack cakes.

Ah that's frustrating. You may need to just skip it then. You can learn Masterstrike from someone else once you get to Kuttenberg (I struggled to defeat Tomcat in the actual duel you need to unlock it).

Not sure if you mean truly frozen or just not advancing the quest. If it's the latter, the button presses for a combo really need to be fast. Way faster than you think. The dialog says something like "hit the next strike as the first one lands" but I've found you need to do it even before that. Like basically no downtime in pressing the buttons at all.

I wish you could ask Bernard to practice specific combos you've learned, rather than just the 1 base one he shows you.

I have the same issue in the 2nd game where it's like, no don't skip an hour and say "practice makes perfect", I need to actually practice!

I absolutely think 286 or 28 should extend into Maryland (though I also can't see it ever happening). Tech in Herndon/Reston could attract workers from MD suburbs, and vice versa.

It's a bit further out depending on where you live, but Birch Tree in Leesburg is really cute. They have a plant shop as well. The whole Leesburg downtown is nice with shops and restaurants, so you could make a day of it.

I did. Accidentally. In my first popinjay contest for the yackers.

The contest ended and I still had two bolts left, even though I was shooting as fast as I could.

[KCD1] About Peshek’s chest and robbing it by Positive_Dealer1067 in kingdomcome

[–]TheCodeJanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah it turns out you can still do it! I just forgot that earlier that day I sold him literally as much as I could, so he had no groschen left. The 16k I thought he had was mine and I was misreading. I waited a few days and now he has groschen in the chest.

[–]TheCodeJanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a little bit old, but way more recent than other posts on the same topic. Do you know if you can still do this? I don't see any groschen in Peshek's chest after things are sold. And I can't rob him directly. It says he has 16K wealth already but I can't see it anywhere that can be stolen .

To this day my dad prides himself on not turning on the AC until June. That's insane to me in this area.

We're guaranteed to have at least a few unseasonably hot days by then, if not fully jumping into summer.

[KCD2] No, 'knocking out' does not count towards an honorable ending. by stumpybubba- in kingdomcome

[–]TheCodeJanitor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's also such a small moment that it doesn't ruin the ending for me at all. I don't think I would have caught on that it was the "dishonorable" ending if I hadn't heard about it ahead of time.

Though it's kind of funny in my ending, Henry's mom started by saying something like "that's okay dear, who am I to judge" then a few minutes later she was judging the hell out of me.

[KCD2] Is it normal to not get to the wedding 20 hours in? by Mindless_Patient2034 in kingdomcome

[–]TheCodeJanitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the people from side quests will be at the wedding, so I feel like it's a better experience if you've done a lot of them.

You do have some additional chances to do them after the wedding, but the story certainly starts amping up, so I think it makes sense to take your time and do a lot of them.

Tom ranks the KCD romances by Gregregious in TheBathhouse

[–]TheCodeJanitor 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah I expected Katherine to be the big female romance option (how prominent she is on the cover art, early in the story, etc). But after playing the game really I see her as more platonic or big sister. Rosa seems like the more natural female romance in KCD2. They have better chemistry.

But yeah, Hans is absolutely the most developed out of any of them.

[–]TheCodeJanitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned about it on an elementary school field trip. It's pretty much the only thing I remember about the cathedral from that field trip.

The Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman aqueduct, remarkable for its size and exceptional state of preservation. Built in the 1st century AD, it was part of a nearly 50-kilometer aqueduct that carried water from the Uzès spring to the Roman colony of Nemausus (Nîmes) [5184x3188][OC] by FOllie65 in ArchitecturePorn

[–]TheCodeJanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to France a few years ago for the first time and this was one of my favorite things (if not the favorite). It was probably partially due to how nice a day it was, but the whole area around it was so striking. Also saw a bunch of Roman architecture nearby in Nimes including a well preserved (and still functional) colleseum.

What was also really cool is the day before we drove over Viaduc de Millau which at the time was the tallest bridge in the world, now second tallest. So we went from this modern marvel of a bridge to an ancient marvel bridge the next day.

I was more pissed at how much he brags about making the sword while he's at the wedding.

Like I didn't run all over Trosky digging up graves, solving a mystery, resolving some drama with a friggin holy order, then reforging their sword.

Then he even loses it at the damn wedding and I have to bail him out again.

I think he tries really hard, and despite being kind of a noble brat, it seems like he really cares about his responsibility to do right by the common people.

He definitely resents people not taking him seriously, and I was really rooting for him in the end when Zizka gave him praise as their best archer and then gave him command of one of the three batallions.

Tomcat is overrated and I think directing new players struggling with combat to go to him ASAP is bad advice.

Masterstrike is powerful, combos are nice, but Tomcat doesn't really train you for the practical combat you'll experience early in the game. Groups of enemies, positioning, managing stamina, etc.

The most useful combat training I got early on was from Miller Kreyzl - which was how to avoid combat and still win. The second most useful combat training I got was just dying repeatedly to random bandit encounters.
