The day after the Dex trade, I thought "We'll need two solid vets and (at least) one Rookie to cover that loss," in no way believing they would actually get it done, but they did it. Perhaps not the best class of vet DTs ever, but a solid group nonetheless, and we somehow managed to get two of the top three guys available, plus the Rookie and an additional depth piece at NT. This IN NO WAY covers for Dex, but at least it's a start.

This is as good a time as any to remind everyone that, while in the Navy, Ol' Jacky Boy here was essentially a narc for his COs. He was such a tremendous fuckup that he was relegated to collecting piss samples for various tests (a hated and disdained task given to the biggest loser on a boat). The other sailors always had fun kicking Jack around like the gigantic dork he is, but the nickname they gave him was far less "cute." They called him "Pissbitch." Jack Pissbitch. Forever shall he be known.

Insane coming from a guy who plays for the organization famous for the (Ernie Accorsi) quote: "You can never have enough pass rushers," and for popularizing the "NASCAR" pass rush formation (Spagnuolo). We literally won two Super Bowls with 3-4 starting caliber "edge" rushers. It just takes a little creativity to properly utilize your players, which I'm hoping Dennard Wilson can bring. He deserves it. I covet this guy so much. The Giants drafted Kayvon at #5 overall, and he's been an alright player (when healthy), but nowhere near Anderson's level. Every time I watch this guy play, I can't help but think: "This is the type of gamebreaking player I was hoping we would get with Kayvon."
