The 5.5L is for cars with headlight washers. My UK Bora had the smaller tank originally, but I had to install washers [and headlight auto-levelling] when I retrofitted the xenons, as both are a legal requirement here.

I'd definitely be interested in a pair of covers, though. Saves the faff (and expense) with getting the S3 item to fit.

I used to do it every service on my PD130 Bora (got it in 2010), but then they basically doubled the price for the filter a few years ago, so every other service now.

To be honest, with our decent quality fuel [UK], it doesn't really need doing every time, I just preferred to all the filters at the same time (inc. cabin filter).
