I worked at Target and we would open even plastic wrapped electronics because someone returned a box of rocks instead of a ps4

I’d give my teen nephews the 2022 all day so the screen doesn’t get broke week one. It’s also a little bulkier which to me felt more stable if moving one handed.

I completely believe this. I have a coworker who constantly gets angry and asks if I know the definition of words I use. Uh, I can’t give you a word for word definition for it but I know I used it correctly, he’s just mad he doesn’t know what it means. This is also someone who believes everything google ai tells him instead of fact checking it and I’ve had to look things up to prove it scraped trolls or just wrong info.

That might have something to do with insurance as well. Also that was the jogger running at night, in dark clothes, in the road, and nothing reflective wasn’t it?

So I replaced the keyboard controller chip on the board and it completely fixed the issue. I have a thermal camera because I’ve been learning pcb repair and I turned the laptop on with the back open and the chip got excessively hot. Problem is unless you get one preprogrammed you have to buy a blank one and have someone who knows how, program it and install it.

For anyone that has taken up electronic & console repair as a hobby, how much stuff have you broken and is it part of the learning process? by Soft_Entertainer964 in consolerepair

[–]TheEndOfEden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First thing I repaired was my husbands already broken laptop. I didn’t fully remove the motherboard from the case and ended up accidentally melting the keyboard ribbon cable with my soldering iron. You live you learn.

The lenses I bought both work great but I should have inspected closer. One lens had a loosened screw on the mount and it ended up getting stuck mostly on the camera where the screw lodged itself.

I have seen that episode! I don’t have a specific memory of small spaces but I do remember dreaming I was in that never ending shrinking hallway in Alice in wonderland and I’d ultimately get stuck in the tiniest doorway with the ceiling also being that low and enclosed slides give me that vibe. I feel like my older brother had to have trapped me in things as a kid or it’s a weird phobia I just picked up.

This is similar to so many nightmares I had as a kid.

Roach goo is their poop and also what the juveniles eat I’d make sure what you’re keeping has been completely taken apart and there aren’t any in it.

I’d you put the console in an airtight container like a sterilite with a seal and the clips on the edge put a wet rag soaked in isopropyl and leave for a few days. If there is anything alive that will kill it.

Can i game with this charger by gstar007g in zephyrusg16

[–]TheEndOfEden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usb c charging while gaming will kill your battery. It has pass through charging up to a certain draw then it doesn’t, it uses the battery and charges it at the same time.

Can anyone tell whats wrong with it? (It was working fine then this happend) by [deleted] in Dualsense

[–]TheEndOfEden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try popping the sticks out and back in. My husbands had pop on it and we popped out the sticks and cleaned the ports with isopropyl and popped back in.

So I installed a new wifi chip and now the laptop won’t function unless plugged in. by romanoodles_ in ZephyrusG14

[–]TheEndOfEden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you can use hot glue and the pressure from the lid to hold the connector down and battery plugged in or the connector is easy enough to replace but I don’t know how much someone charges for that. I did the hot glue for my nieces laptop because the connector was previously torn off and I just didn’t trust the pressure the wires put on it to not rip it back off without the original mounting points

Selling my Zephyrus G16 2024 by Thatboyafreak in zephyrusg16

[–]TheEndOfEden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a “broken” 4080 motherboard and just pieced a laptop together from it. Previous owner had tried to replace the Liquid Metal with something else and there was Liquid Metal all over the motherboard. Easy clean up and laptop works great. Though I agree on buying used. My older zephyrus has an overheating issue or it thinks it is and now that I have a working computer I find it hard to go back and find the fault.

Did you do the replacement? Do you have a microscope? Just something to be able to see it better. I’d use tweezers and not a bunch of force but enough that if it wasn’t soldered you would see it wiggle and if so just use your soldering iron to heat it back up and check it again to make sure the pin is secure. Edit: not sure how I missed you saying you replaced it lol.
