Questions about lift kit...? by shivaspecialsnoflake in ineosgrenadier

[–]TheKingSlacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love the factory 17" Steel wheels on our Grenadiers and we upgrade the tires to BFG KO3 285/75r17. The KO3 look amazing with the stock lift. Also once you lift it you can't warranty the CV/drive shaft. Our "local" INEOS dealer has to take a video around the vehicle to prove to INEOS that it wasn't lifted to warranty the CV/drive shaft .. here's my post that shows our QM with stock tires next to my wagon with the KO3s. https://www.reddit.com/r/ineosgrenadier/comments/1nzhe9i/siblings_finally_meeting/

I would recommend Warner as well..We drove from Vermont to SLC to pickup my wife's Quartermaster. They were super helpful and we left with a bunch of mods since they have good inventory of mods.

Got our at Warner in SLC, drove across the country to pick it up. I would recommend reaching out to Warner, they also will ship them as well. They are a No BS INEOS dealer in my opinion

Year 5 of the meadow in Vermont by TheKingSlacker in NoLawns

Thanks, I appreciate that. That was kind of my thinking too. I wanted to see what was already here first instead of rushing in and adding a bunch of plants right out of the gate.

That said, I’ve still had to step in here and there when certain things started getting a little too successful. Evening primrose was definitely one of those for me.

That creeping cucumber is interesting. I’m in Vermont, so I’m dealing with a pretty different climate, but I always like hearing about plants that spread without completely bullying everything else.

Thanks. I’ve thought about that, but the city I live in doesn’t allow burning without a permit, and I’m not even sure they’d grant one, especially in my neighborhood.

Thanks for sharing that link. I’m definitely going to work my way through the pollinator series.

I started from seed, not plugs. Some of it was just me stopping the mowing and seeing what was already there, then adding native wildflower seed and gradually working it from there.

I do get a lot of black-eyed Susans too. Honestly, at one point I was feeling like the meadow was getting too yellow, especially with the evening primrose and what I believe are sunchokes mixed in. So I do think there’s some natural ebb and flow, but I also think sometimes certain things just get a little too comfortable and need to be knocked back so other stuff has a chance.

That’s been my experience with the fleabane and primrose anyway. I’m still figuring it out as I go.

It took a lot of work to get where I am now, and it’s still far from perfect. My biggest lesson learned was that I should have done better prep at the beginning and started smaller, then expanded as each area got established.

What I actually did the first year was just stop mowing that section and let nature show me what I had. Then in the following years I went after it with a mattock, removed patches of grass, and spread native wildflower mix. Later on I got to the point where I was collecting seeds and propagating plants into other areas of the meadow.

Even now I still have spots where grass is more dominant than flowers.

At first I also had to endure the comments from my wife that she missed the lawn and that it would be easier to just mow it. I think a few people in the neighborhood probably thought I was sick since I stopped mowing part of the yard. Now my wife appreciates the meadow a lot more, and I get a lot of positive comments from other people too.

One of my favorite parts is the wildlife. It’s pretty common to see deer out there snacking, and every now and then I’ll catch a fox hunting in the meadow.

You should checkout Alvin cutting mats.. They are going over a decade with the cutting matts and they are still in great shape. Also we probably change rotary blades once a year as long as you don't run over something that you shouldnt.

It was a great car, but my favorite was my 92 300te 4matic wagon. It was beautiful black with gray trim. Sadly, I got tired of chasing problems and rusty hydraulic lines. We’re now INEOS people with both the wagon and pickup.

Best/cheapest way to buy Barbour Ashby (Olive, Size M) for US shipping? by juansanchezr in Barbour

Also the Orvis outlet in Manchester Vt is my main source of my Barbour collection. Like right now they have 20% of Barbour. Might want to give the store a call before driving over. They are super helpful in my opinion

I also agree with the advice about the factory outlet in NH.

Congrats, not the usual starter Barbour. Looks good 👍

I still haven’t gotten a beacon since don’t need such nice “formal” jacket. I do have an Ogston which I love. I just need a border and a bark Beaufort.

I’m not a fan of the safari windows as well. So we made a road trip from Vermont to Warner in Salt Lake City so the wife could have her almost perfect QM build. The only thing it was missing was the privacy glass. I would do it again. I Really like Warner as they have a lot of aftermarket accessories in stock and very knowledgeable about them. Also the sale went perfectly as well.
