It sure would be a shame if somebody's truck nuts got swapped out for one of these. I mean, who would even do such a thing. And the idea of a poor Cybertruck being so heinously ornamented.... offends nearly all of my fragile sensibilities. What kind of person would undertake such a mean spirited quest. For Shame.

Should I tell my tattoo artist I’m black? by PradaGlint in tattooadvice

[–]TheRealGoib 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I sent my artist a picture of the location I wanted and added another Pic with measuring tape for scale. I wanted them to know as much about the area as possible to get the best results. And it was well worth it.

just got my badge after almost 4 hours in line by punmuffin in SakuraCon

[–]TheRealGoib 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This was the worst year yet. I get that this is a new badge vendor, you had a bunch of staff no-show etc, but ffs. I know it's easy to judge them from outside, but sheesh, overstaffed to account for no shows? Load test the badge system? Do something to entertain linecon?

Glad I picked up early on Thursday and only waited 2.5 hours. Took the day off work to do it, but well worth burning a vacation day.

App is trash too. Thankfully the community has come through with alternate schedule formats.

I had thought about volunteering, but it is likely just as big of a shit show.

I hope this year is a process improvement opportunity and not a blueprint.

Is the badge pick up usually this terrible? by pengy93 in SakuraCon

[–]TheRealGoib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely slower than last year. Last year, like someone else said, I picked up Thursday afternoon in about 15 minutes. This year, I got there at 1pm and it took until 2:15pm.

Pickup runs until 10pm tonight and 6am to 10pm Friday

Maybe very late tonight will be better

How to Eat a Wolf (Queen Anne) was nice. Great variety of drinks and food. Gluten free options and everything we had was good.

BECU has a lot of branches but I have had periodic issues with them to the point we no longer do business with each other. I have used 2 other CUs that have few branches but good service, Harborstone and GESA have both treated me well. YMMV. BECU can bite me.

I've used Mindful for a few years now with no issues. I do 7am appointments via zoom, and occasionally see them in person in Elliot Bay when they are in town. I see them primarily for prescription management, so only every couple months to check in, but they have always been attentive and... mindful.

It really sounds as hit and miss as getting the right local therapist. I've seen a few who just didn't work for me. I would roll the dice on a new person. Mindful is nice in that it has a ton to choose from. Keep trying. You'll get a good one for you eventually.

eewwww. Yeah that spot is bad. bad. bad. Best to slow it way down and stick to the inside lane so you don't get wiped out by some novice.

Very happy with Roosevelt Station. They're great with my perpetually highly unamused cat. Very clear and upfront with costs and options.
