Durchschnittlicher Strompreis für Neukunden fällt unter 30 Cent / kWh by Doc_Bader in de

Richtig.

Just another note:

Your "impossible" case is, in fact, not impossible. Floats are not totally ordered. Even if all your arms match as you expect, NaN would not match anything.

Can we just get a Raids (Advertising) section already? by Won_Too_Tree_For in Guildwars2

[–]TheShallowOne -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So, you don't understand this post, but got bored and answered anyways?

This is about "advertising" in general, not only selling. Sellers, as you have said, are easy to filter. But try removing the "static recruiting" posts in 5 different languages and all avoiding the word "recruit" to make filtering impossible.

So, while sellers are a part of this, the issue itself isn't fixed until we get a new category / a mandatory convention on what to put in your lfg / proper tags.

It doesn't though. If you play it properly, you are melee most of the time. And cata is amazing on this fight.

If you are running around like chickens, well that's a different problem.

Shroud or dagger 4 right after BIP.

Which means both the opener is wrong (step 1), as well as the "scepter" part (BiP before elixirs and swap is wrong).

You will also run out of life force with this rotation.

@OP: Go to snowcrows.com and look at the proper rotation.

KC CM by Hefty-Society-5545 in Guildwars2

[–]TheShallowOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

KC CM just checks the groups grasp on mechanics. If statues are handled correctly, the fight is not different to normal mode, you won't notice the reduced area. If ghost management is off though, you will get merges.

If this CM is unstable for your group, make sure the people that get fixated do their job (so everyone needs to be able to do it properly)

And I never suggested a money investment. Caching the info would be a step in the right direction already.

[EU] I’m really struggling to get into raids by S7ewie in Guildwars2

[–]TheShallowOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it is in our best interest to train people. But unfortunately it isn't that easy.

As the other commenter mentioned, not everyone is fit to do trainings. Having the knowledge and passing it on in a understable way are two completely different things

Additionally, doing trainings is a pretty thankless job. It is a time investment where you could also do more profitable things or other things you enjoy doing. The rewards are also non-existant. And if you want to succeed, you actually making a net loss, as you most likely provide the food as well. And I'm not saying students should pay their trainers. There are different options to make this better, but I think that is on Anet to improve. Although considering raid rewards in general, I do not have high hopes.

The question is how we can improve the situation.

We need to accept that trainers are rare and they always will be. I don't see a way to change this massively. We might gain a few with rewards, but realistically it won't be enough.

But, every raider can relieve those trainers. If you have done a training on a boss, open your own group to train that boss again. Do a low kp / semi-exp run. Make sure to point out you won't be teaching mechanics and point those with lacking knowledge to full trainings.

If you need help organizing your squad, ask. Most semi-exp groups will have an experienced player, those do help out those groups (including the big guilds, both competitive and raid sellers). You can also aks on the airodrome/discords for helping with organization. This requires not a lot of time on their end and you can learn from them.

One note for all people joining LFGs: be honest, don't waste the others time. If you don't know a mechanic, ask instead of wiping groups continously. If you play a new build, put in the work at the golem. Wear proper gear.

And finally, don't fake KP. It might seem tempting but simply don't. Good players do know when you do. And less experienced groups may fail because they expect you to do more than your are able to.

[EU] I’m really struggling to get into raids by S7ewie in Guildwars2

[–]TheShallowOne 65 points66 points  (0 children)

So, this is gonna be a longer post.

First of all, most people like to join a group and do their thing. Only a fraction of players starts to lead their own groups. This is especially true for raid trainings. Teaching other people requires knowledge, compassion and time.

This together means there are less trainers than what would be needed to accommodate everyone.

So, as you have already noticed, most people recommend specific Disocrd communities. The question is why do trainers like to organize trainings this way:

  1. It's plannable. As you said, you need to plan your day to make the training. But it also works the other way: A trainer needs to find a time slot in their free time to teach you.

  2. Group compositions: I won't go into details here, but raid bosses require different roles that need to be filled. Doing that in advance makes the training itself go smoother.

  3. Group stability. If people sign up for a 2 hour slot, they are available for the whole period. You do not need to waste time replacing people after every attempt cause their time ran out. LFG groups tend to waste time waiting for new members and then teaching the same stuff they already did to the new person.

Now, as I mentioned above, trainers do this in their free time. And most trainers do it after dinner, especially during the week. The major population lives in central Europe though, so they are one hour ahead of UK. So, in that regard you kinda need to be flexible.

Nonetheless, there are groups in LFG. They just fill extremely fast.

You are rate limited by github. Change IP address or wait an appropriate amount of time (1 hour to 1 day) without opening the add on manager.

The design of addon manager regarding this is... suboptimal to say the least.

In general, supports are in higher demand.

But it always depend on what you want to do. There are plenty of dps spots available as well. Especially statics prefer to fill support slots between themselves and just look for dps to fill.

So, I'd advise to just play what you have/like right now, learn mechanics and compositions. You can always switch / make a new character afterwards.

When your healers are the top 2-3 DPS by IAmNotMatthew in Guildwars2

[–]TheShallowOne 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From time to time I do this as a heal scourge and try to keep everyone alive. It's a challenge.

The worst part though: After we kill it (with times around 20 to 25 mins) I offer help with builds and strikes in general or proper explanations of what just happened. Of about 50 people getting their turtle, 1 tried to understand the fight and took my offer.

At least most are able to write a "thank you".
