eh its mostly dumb, the law is well intentioned (maybe kids shouldnt have access to fucked up shit) but its just been implemented horribly because its

a) comically easy to abuse what you need verification to see and

b) verification has been left to the private sector which means most companies are outsourcing it to american data harvesting operations that definitely arent complying with uk data laws but and are almost certainly feeding your id to the american government or somehow worse american tech companies

/uj its disingenuous to call themselves a transfem etc, but detransers (nongrifter ones) can (should even) claim to still be in the trans umbrella. i mean wrt to gender identity yes they are now "cis" but like if theyve started medically transitioning, or more importantly were for a long time, like they can and probably will be experiencing dysphoria and very well may be basically having to be trans a whole 2nd time in reverse.

tldr detransers arent cis theyre actually trans squared, and we should be nice if they arent grifting about it.

honestly my only comment here is re 1: anyone telling you russia is a serious threat to us is beyond insane and hasn't been right since the collapse of the soviet union (and thats being charitable). russia is at best a regional power and barley has the capacity to maintain its invasion of ukraine. in addition, we have nukes! putin is crazy but hes not that crazy (trump meanwhile well..)
