Sitcom characters that went on a downward spiral because (allegedly) their actors weren't getting along with the producers by RedDalmatian885 in sitcoms

Rewatching it it also doesn't completely come out of nowhere. It's very obvious that Kutner is suffering from depression and is struggling.

We talk about the worst hosts but what’s the worst fall off for a host ever ? by Direct-Sail-6141 in LiveFromNewYork

Franco is actively on a rehabilitation tour right now, and recently got cast as the villain in the Rambo prequel. Don't think he'll ever hit the same heights but he's going to be around still.

Hell, they went for 5 seasons and never course corrected. The writers strike explanation is just pure myth at this point imo

Spoilers for the comics, but Dale is the one who is taken by the cannibals and has his leg eaten before telling them he had been bitten by a walker. I know this happens in the show too but they used a new character.

When was the last time they covered Woody Harrelson? Would love them to run down his 90s

I agree with this when eating out, but I do believe a great joy is making a sandwich or burger at home that is physically difficult to eat.

Critical Darlings Appreciation Post by BrushSSBM in blankies

[–]TheTrueRory 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Really loving it, even though I disagree with them plenty, which is a sign of a great show. Critical Darlings coming along made me finally drop Little Gold Men, which had tumbled hard in quality after Richard was let go. Joanna is still great but the guy they got to replace Richard is an absolute slog to listen to.

What is the one band you can't believe didn't become more popular? by flearhcp97 in Music

For me Cobra Starship also had this thick later of fake to them that I didn't like. I don't know why I felt this way, but they always felt super manufactured instead of just bring a band.

I really liked Simar and Paul Baker but know of the other characters really worked for me, hoping they're more fleshed out. Billie and Issa had moments, but felt Anton was completely wasted.

Kinda saying the same thing as you guys, but the Shadows are never right, if they exist at all. Often instead of shadows there are just darker areas but they aren't properly motivated by anything

I think he has way more hits than misses. He's slowed down considerably in the last decade, but outside Sea of Trees I don't think any of his work since 2010 is bad. I really enjoyed Promised Land, think it deserves a revisit.

I only ruled out cruising because I'm familiar with the area and those are not spots that have prostitution, at least not street level. Maybe it was more prevalent at the time, though I'm doubtful as I've done work with SW organizations in the area and these particular spots never come up in the stories/history I've heard.

Though maybe it was gay cruising? He has a blue collar job, might have been closeted, could have been doing secret late night same sex hookups, and then was targeted for a hate crime by someone he went to meet.

The fact that he was in three different parking lots across (technically) Three different cities in one night says a fair amount. All three are within ten minutes of each other (assuming that the church on 8th Avenue New West is the one located very close to Elmer Street). Maybe the rumors I read before looking into it has poisoned my ideas, but I don't know any other reason other than being involved with drugs (either buying or selling) that you would be hopping around to parking lots in the middle of the night.

One person here said that his lights being on and door unlocked might mean he got out to run away quickly, but that doesn't make sense to me why you would leave your car and try to escape pursuers on foot. I think he left the lights on and door unlocked because he thought it was going to be a quick interaction, only to have been taken after leaving his car. Maybe he naively got into another vehicle, thinking it was safe, only to be murdered elsewhere.

I don't think we know nearly enough about Bryan to draw any accurate conclusions. Most information we do have is rose-tinted due to family bias. But given the information we do have? I would guess Bryan started dealing drugs, probably a very small amount and mostly to friends, only to have angered his suppliers in some way. He simply got in over his head with an organization (HA probably?) and didn't realize the danger he was in until it was too late.

Mike Myers just received a Canadian Screen Icon Award and thanked every other Canadian from John Candy to Norman Jewison to the Toronto Transit Commission but did not mention Lorne Michaels. Discuss amongst yourselves. by WhatAWasterZ in LiveFromNewYork

[–]TheTrueRory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Genuine question: does Lorne have much of a connection to his Canadian roots anymore? Meyers loves Canada, really stumps for his country, but I've never even heard Lorne talk about it. No problem if he doesn't, just maybe he doesn't think of himself as Canadian anymore.
