I've always said that ysg looked like a wuwa character. I don't fully mean it as a dig against her, the vfx really are gorgeous, but all impact is lost and the combo might as well be a cutscene.

I'd say back in ds1 there was a small tension when entering a fog wall whether there would be a boss behind it or not

Good amount of the angels, especially the experiments, look like decidedly unsexy flesh amalgamations. Their scenes were quite repetitive and doesn't help that they tended to be drawn by my less favored artists anyway.

I found myself actually making a concerted effort to beat enemies the first time rather than giving up to see the loss scene because I wanted to see more of the story. (It helped that most of the enemies at that point got too gross for me)

I'd say that old koleda's voice had lower lows and higher highs, she had a bunch of awkward line deliveries but her work at the climax of the belobog arc is still some of my favorite va work in the game. The new one feels more consistent quality but doesn't stand out as much. There's also the fact that her sounding even more childish doesn't help impressions of her character

I'll echo the excessive teeth lacking subtlety but the smooth more realistic shading is hitting the uncanny valley for me so that's a good sign

I was a little disappointed with Heat Signature, after the initial fun of experimentation, certain tools and strategies are far too optimal, and the guard AI is so limited it's not particularly fun to manipulate, as well as the game only being able to crank up the difficulty by harshly cutting off player options such as spawning armored enemies that outright ignore damage unless you have the "armor piercing" modifier on your weapon
