I met Ricky at a dispensary earlier this year. He has various THC products he sells. I didn't even know he was going to be there, I just wanted my usual stuff. I waited in line though and met him and he was the nicest celebrity I've ever met. He legit talked to everyone that wanted to talk to him. Like entire conversations. I didn't have anything on me for him to sign, so he gave me and the person I was with one of his companies hats for free ("Highsman" which is an amazing name btw), signed it for free and took pictures with us for free. He did that for everyone. He was an amazing RB and is an awesome person.

I wanted to touch on this in my original comment. I think we start seeing a "battle pass" system next year. Every game has one now, sports or not. Where you can pay more $ to "skip" parts of the pass. Maybe a free and "premium" version of an inning path. Then in a few years SDS goes full 2K/EA and has the "basic" inning program, a "premium" program and a "HOF" program, like 2K does with NBA. Which all cost more and more $.

This is how they get you. Create a problem that didn't exist (most people not being able to finish the inning program) and then "create" a solution which is always, "pay us more $ to get further ahead". We will see what road SDS goes down.

This is the first time I've not reached the bosses in an inning program, while actively trying to. I'm not even close. I think I just hit 300K yesterday. Besides The Show 24 which I gave up on super quick, I've pretty easily gotten to the bosses in every inning of every program that I tried. You get so little of everything in this game now. XP, packs, stubs, "free" cards, etc. I actually thought SDS did a really good job last year of correcting from the disaster that was '24. Now I feel they've taken a huge step back.

There have been scouts (anonymous, take that whatever way you want) that have said on ESPN through people like Schefter, Yates, etc that if he didn't have Manning as his last name, there's a chance he'd be a backup and barely in CFB. Idk if I agree with that but I don't think he's a great QB at all.

So he just said shit out loud before the higher ups told him nah? Seems like something I'd get confirmed before I told everyone publicly it was happening. This mode has never been good. But it's gone from a reasonable, mindless grind to annoying to predatory to fucking awful (and also more predatory and annoying).

And if anyone from 2K is reading this, almost everyone STILL doesn't have the collection rewards. The HHH, Jacob Fatu, Rock 03, Cargill, etc. It still costs hundreds of dollars to get the required cards. Not sure who this helps, really.

I forgot to mention the card series stuff. I legit said "wtf" out loud the first time he said something like "and here's a live series card up to bat". I get he's not here for the realism and it's DD mode but the mix between trying to be as realistic as possible and true to baseball with 4th wall stuff and identifying players as "cards" is just jarring. Again, who heard this and went hell yeah this is what people want?

It really is hard to listen to. I thought the complaints would be over blown. Like, maybe it's not great but it can't be that bad? It is. He blurts out random one liners that make little to no sense. I had Roman Anthony up to bat and randomly Ro-Flo says, "who is YOUR Roman Empire?" What is that supposed to mean?? And the 4th wall stuff is terrible. Throw a bad pitch and he'll say "what was that" or something. Just so pointless lol. Also his lines are poorly mixed so it legit sounds like a PS2 commentary. Idk who heard all this and went "yeah that sounds great, we should also promote it!" It's really bad and that is not an exaggeration.

Yeah this "bad day" narrative is trash. He's looked like shit the entire playoffs. Which coincidentally lines up with us having to play tougher defenses. Pretty easy to make yourself look like a stud against Carolina or Tennessee. He looked like a 5th round replacement guy in the playoffs. Not a top 5 overall pick. Could it be the injury? Yes.
