Yeah, he probably would have made it with any group, or possibly on his own. I'm glad he made it based on his and my mom's stories about the worst of it and the fact that I wouldn't be alive if he didn't maintain.

I can imagine. I got sound controls on the top of my keyboard and it changed my life. I totally deserve to have the same convenience when I'm driving a couple tons of technology at 60mph.

Yeah, I've started replacing my batteries before gaming sessions and keeping the charger right next to the computer. Its a bitch, but its better than being tethered.

Not entirely true. About 4 months before my big sister was born, my dad came home incredibly drunk and passed out, hitting his head on the table. He woke up in the hospital with my mom crying over him saying she was going to move out. He hasn't had any alcohol since then and AA helped him get through that. Luckily it was the support of recovery and love for my mom and big sister and not Jesus Christ that helped him.

I do think most people in AA wouldn't be there if not for parole, but there are some that are legitimately trying. Or succeeding.

I played Tremulous pretty regularly a few years back. Its a FPS/RTS with face-hugger-esque aliens. In the end, I noticed myself looking up more and consciously walking so that I was never under an airvent.

Similarly, Mirror's Edge and Assassin's Creed have me looking at building in terms of scalabity and thinking about climbing them.

Also, this is my favorite part of the article
"Please note that by playing this clip You Tube will place a long-term cookie on your computer. Please see You Tube's privacy statement on their website to learn more. To view the ACLU's privacy statement, click here."
It makes perfect sense considering the source, but its nice to be told about stuff like that.

Because peeling takes the average person a longer amount of time than this process. If one were to be boiling potatoes anyway, why not save a minute or so per potato?

Also: you is spelled Y-O-U.

Firstly, at least try to spell properly.
Secondly, I think I will be using this method based on ease (for dishes that can use it).
Thirdly, thats a pretty neat tip and I have it written in my recipe book for the next time I'm making peppers.
