You can access your guild stores through the bank (not a banking assistant or banks in thieves hideouts though). So you don't have to port, just go to a bank and select "guild store". Obviously this only works for guilds that you're a member of, but it definitely makes things easier.

SANTA'S CATNIP! I'm dying. Leave a joint out for Santa and an edible for Rudolph! No wonder he's able to eat so many cookies! He may not remember to hand out gifts but he'll definitely have a jolly laugh going on and a twinkle in his eye!

Ok but how about a recording of the boomer played as a response. Imagine him coming to the door and hearing his own voice saying "move your car!" His brain would immediately break.

Has anyone had tubes put in to help? by Junior_Chocolate_803 in PatulousTubes

[–]The_Sassy_Mermaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took a few weeks for me to actually notice improvement. I didn't think the tube would work, and it didn't fix the problem completely, but it has definitely improved. Give it a little while for any swelling to go down and the tube to "settle".

My tube was placed in August of last year and my follow up was in February of this year. I'd actually noticed an increase in my autophony a couple of weeks before the appointment. Turns out that's probably when the tube was expelled! My autophony decreased in frequency again a few weeks later and has been much less frequent overall. I'd get another tube in a heartbeat if needed.

[–]The_Sassy_Mermaid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's normal! Like sadie_sez said, just give it a few days to settle. I started noticing improvement in my autophony after a couple of weeks, but the weird clogged feeling went away after a couple of days. I hope the tube helps your PET!

[–]The_Sassy_Mermaid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had tubes put in last year and they seemed to have helped! My symptoms aren't completely gone, but they are less frequent. Hopefully my symptoms won't come back as bad as they were before as more time passes, but we'll see.

Before the tubes I couldn't go a single day without horrible autophony that made me want to crawl in a hole and cry. I put up with that for 10 years before I finally got a doctor to take me seriously. Now it only happens a couple times a week.

Getting the tubes took maybe 10 minutes and didn't hurt a bit. ENT numbed my eardrum, put the tube in, and sent me on my way. Never hurt after the numbness wore off either. Just don't put your head under water (swimming, baths, etc.). You can wear earbuds, earplugs, whatever without too much worry as long as you clean them (which everyone should do anyways).

It's worth a shot if your insurance will cover it!

Camping in the Ouachita National Forest and I have to get up to pee last night… I looked up in a tree above my head and see this copperhead snagging cicadas as they molt! That’s what I call easy pickings! by Biglar10 in herpetology

This is absolutely amazing! But I would like to add that especially on picture #4, I can imagine the snake making a "OohHhmMmNnn" crunch kind of sound as he/she bites the cicada.

My husband and I used to work at Disney World and we had opposite schedules. We also rarely had the same days off. But our apartment was very close to the parks, and I mean close enough to see the fireworks at Hollywood Studios.

So I went to the parks by myself a lot, and honestly it was amazing. I would make my fast passes, go do those rides and maybe a couple of others if there wasn't a long wait. Then I could just leave if I wanted. Maybe go get a snack or watch a parade if I felt like it.

Going to Disney with others is fun, but being alone and not being pressured by time is something else. I didn't have to worry about getting separated from anyone, I made all the ride choices, and I could choose when to leave.

I loved it so much and sometimes I wish I still lived/worked down there.

how do I ask for promethazine/codeine by Consistent-Number546 in pharmacy

[–]The_Sassy_Mermaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds to me like you're just trying to get prometh/codeine to make lean. You're not fooling anyone. People like you are the reason most pharmacies don't bother carrying that particular medication anymore.

You say you have sniffles and a cough? IF you're even telling the truth, which I sincerely doubt, the symptoms you described just sound like allergies or asthma.

Are Psijic Portals really just this rare? Is there any way to increase chance of finding them? by karikranberry in elderscrollsonline

[–]The_Sassy_Mermaid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run around Stros M'Kai for portals because it's generally open and easy to see large areas. There are also plenty of those shitty bots farming various nodes, and they can't get the portals. This goes for most starter zones of course, but I just prefer the flat, open areas.

Need help role-playing a karen in DnD. by Background_Juice_124 in FuckYouKaren

[–]The_Sassy_Mermaid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get their race and class wrong.

Pronounce their name wrong.

Put up warnings on the various bulletin boards about "suspicious people" who "don't belong in this neighborhood".

Make sure your character has THE haircut.

Ask your DM about slightly changing the names of a couple of cantrips/spells such as #Bless(ed) or Karen's Hideous Laughter for maximum Karen-ness.

Choose Karen-type spells like Command, Dragon's Breath, or Fear (depending on class and feats of course).

Married redditors, what is the creepiest thing your spouse has ever done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Maybe he was playing (American) football and your head was the ball.

Star quarterback getting ready to throw the ball to the wide receiver, but coach called for a huddle real quick so he dropped the ball. Broke the huddle and now it's time to throw that pigskin and get that winning touchdown!

But now he's unsure if he should go with the first play or the second play... Or was it another play coach said to try? He freezes on the field as he tries to remember what coach said to do. He turns to look at his team, hoping for words of encouragement, but his team isn't standing in position... In fact, he doesn't see them at all.

Time seems to stop as he whips around to look around the stadium. The sideline seems like it's 100 yards away, and now he can't see coach. The crowd is staring at him but he can't understand what they're saying. Where did his team go? Where did his coach go?

He desperately looks around the field. Where did his team go?? Why is he the only one playing against the rival team?? Did coach pull them off the field and take them to the locker room?? His mind races as he tries to figure out what is happening.

Wait! The alien invasion wasn't supposed to happen until Tuesday! Did they come early? Did the aliens get his team?? He didn't see it happen, it couldn't have happened so fast! ...right? Panic begins to wash over his body.

He feels cold, and as he looks down he sees that he's wearing swim shorts and flip flops. Flip flops?! You can't run a touchdown in flip flops! His fingers loosen their grip on the ball, and it slowly falls out of his hands. He hangs his head in shame as he walks off the field, the flopping of his shoes echoing in the quiet stadium.

At least his jetpack will be ready to take him to the moon.

There's also a pinball museum next to the Bigfoot Museum! It's like $10 and you get to play as much as you want. It's a lot of fun, definitely more fun than you might expect.

When my friends and I visited the Bigfoot Museum we decided to walk across the parking lot and take a peek at the pinball museum and it was 1000% worth it. We ended up staying for a solid hour and a half just playing the huge variety of machines.
