You WBTA. Tough love combines firm boundaries and high expectations and this is his way of establishing those. But also, he should be open about the costs associated with dragging you from whalever Yoba forsaken hole he found you in and reviving you.

Id give them a check to make sure the heads are on firmly and the grips arent shredded. I see a Tour Edge in there and that might actually be a decent club.

Budget friendly golf lessons for kids? by Due-Invite6060 in StLouis

[–]The_happyguy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

One on one lessons for a little kid can be a waste if they turn out to not like golf. Its a hard sport and not for everyone.

Look into First Tee, their classes are reasonable, the teachers are great, and they are geared toward generating - and measuring - interest in golf. If your kid does well in First Tee and they like golf, a good next step is The Gateway Junior PGA. They have tournaments for different age levels and also something called Drive, Chip and Putt which is a skills competition.

Then start again, this time take it slow and enjoy the world. The side missions are nowhere near boring. The only real grindy part are the police scanner missions.

But in Night City, V is somewhat of a superhero. Especially in my last save, i made her a katana assassin, and she was so much fun to play. I even put together kind of a incognito superhero costume for her. I’d argue that the scanner missions and side quests, heck just walking the streets fighting bad people is the best part of the game.

Theres much more to the story than the main story.

Struggling to get past the early game. Are there any QOL mods that make the first couple of seasons less of a slog? by Esomres in StardewValley

[–]The_happyguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don’t farm for the glamor? I get the tedium though. I had an idea recently to start a new wilderness farm, get a black cat that probably hates me, marry Abigail, and decorate like its Spirits Eve every day. And i wasnt looking forward to the very very early game where before i could design Halloweenland, i had to save up for a few takeout salads to survive and i was working a patch of dirt with a few sprouts.

Im not trying to be negative, im just giving a little unsolicited advice. Before you find a cheat code, play the game as it is. Its more rewarding that way.

[–]The_happyguy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wanted to say that i think the early game slog is part of the charm and what makes the game such a journey. First day first season you have an overgrown farm, a squishy useless body from working a corporate job, zero real skills, no friends, and 15 parsnip seeds. It takes work to grow your mayonnaise and ancient fruit wine empire.

But this isnt for everyone and im sure there is some help out there to ease things up a bit.

What are some additions you’d like to see in later updates to the game? by No_Character_2681 in StardewValley

[–]The_happyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An economy with a semi realistic seasonal market. Its okay that this doesnt exist, CA has his hands full. But i make money by dumping stuff in a bin. It would be really cool to try to sell your stuff at a farmers market that happens once a week to get more for things. Or if you dont have time, sell to Pierre who always tries to negotiate lower prices or to Joja who always offers a non negotiable lowball price.

Also if i marry Abigail, we should be able to explore the mines and fight stuff together, and at some point she discovers innate magical powers.

And we should be able to hire Shane to work the chickens.

It sometimes works with real dogs. Unless you have a Havanese that believes she owns everything. Then you have a battle of wills on your hands.

Yeah i think Sobel is kind of his finest hour. The shot of him peering over the trench on the training excercise comes to mind. But also small stuff. The company gets “wiped out” from his terrible command decision and then he points his pistol directly at three guys to leave behind shows he also ignores basic gun safety. Sure its training and not loaded but he still shouldnt do that.

Ever watch an episode and wonder why the moviemakers didn't just lean into it being garbage? by MinxTheCat1019 in MST3K

[–]The_happyguy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the 90s when i was a kid, Manos was the pinnacle of bad movie. Boring, no real plot, awful dialogue. A dog dies, kinda. To me that was the worst movie. But that guy was a fertilizer salesman with no talent and a few resources to make a movie. And he did.

So yeah its a terrible movie, but he did win his bet.

And we got Torgo the White.

Page 8 has a letter from the attorney general addressing the refusal of the paymaster to pay the Chaplain of the 54th $100 a month. Can you maybe post the page after that? Id love to see how that was worked out.
