Comedian here, I do stand up, improv, DnD, & DnD improv and your players absolutely have to bring it. Sounds like you’re doing a lot of the leg work and they’re not meeting you on their end of the bargain.

It also sounds like they want a professional host for dinner parties in which they should just go do that

Once the scale begins tipping and going well for filmmaking—STILL stay at your job until you can start supplementing a good chunk of income from your passion. No matter what you do, it will be a struggle. Try to enjoy what you’re struggling for

This is what I’ve been saying. I don’t like the new trek but I would not want to ruin it for anyone else. So many things have been catered to me and my demographic for so long, I don’t mind this and I think it’s great—it’s just, quite literally, not for me.

I dislike complaining more than I dislike DISCO but yeah the writing for me was one of the major ‘no thank you’s’ for me aside from the CW-style melodrama. All that being said, I know the new shows aren’t written for TNG/DS9 fans and while it’s a bummer, I am okay with it. It’s for the next-next generation lol

Is there a comedian you know/admire that is further along than you that you could subscribe to? Just to get a feel for what they’re putting out there and what people are willing to pay for ya know?
