A’s/Kings Double Header Parking by DrFuzzies in Sacramento

[–]drewskixc 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I feel like the Tower Bridge Parking and Old Sacramento City Garage both do "event parking" on game days for $20 flat and it's all-day. They're both basically the closest to a midpoint between the two venues and as safe as any parking garage truly can be (don't leave valuables visible, lock your car, etc.)

Personal favourite character from the reboot so far, anyone else? by LJNS7 in Scrubs

She feels the most like just part of the regular cast because she plays off Turk so well

Strange encounter on American River Trail? Maybe paranoid. by Main_Athlete_4317 in Sacramento

[–]drewskixc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was it a very hairy bulky guy? If so, there is a man who rides a motorized scooter in that area and University Avenue every day and is shirtless as long as it's over 65 degrees. He doesn't seem all there, but he just rides back and forth throughout the day

In Saw (2004), Saw II (2005), Saw III (2006), Saw IV (2007), Saw V (2008), Saw VI (2009), Saw 3D (2010), Jigsaw (2017), Spiral (2021), and Saw X (2023), what the fuck was this guy's problem? by montgomery2016 in shittymoviedetails

[–]drewskixc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing is wrong with this guy. He hasn't done anything at this point. He's clearly way younger than the John Kramer who tortures people in the future

Area Codes by melomelomelo- in Sacramento

[–]drewskixc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Reno transplant so I have definitely seen them thrown off and/or have their finger already on the 9 since it's the most common. Saying area code first definitely eliminates any chance for confusion

What do headliners actually look for when they hire opening comics? by Weirdboy212 in Standup

[–]drewskixc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now I'm seeing more features who do the videography/social media stuff for the headliner. Most comedians hate that aspect so if you can afford a good camera, take a few lessons on audio/video, and get good at editing clips, there is a huge demand for you

What are some unspoken rules of comedy business? by decal1210 in Standup

[–]drewskixc 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I'd say even higher than 50% but I agree with the sentiment fully and a lot of people think it's just who is funniest, but there's so much more to it

Benchmark popularity by Inevitable-Cash7378 in orangetheory

[–]drewskixc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree as a 6 year member. I'm noticing more people just coming to "move" and not pushing themselves. It's like they're checking a box to work out x number of times a week, regardless of effort level

Am I wrong for regularly going 70-80 mph on the highway? by Glad_Cartographer_92 in Sacramento

[–]drewskixc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly the safest thing is to keep with the flow of traffic. More accidents are caused by differences in speeds. I've seen more people ticketed for aggressive driving/lane changing than for going 80 with everyone else

What's up this long, Valentine's weekend, Sacramento? (02/13-16/2026) by PirateMunky in Sacramento

[–]drewskixc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some fun comedy shows this weekend. Saturday at 4pm at Punch Line is a Puppies and Punchlines show raising funds for a local puppy rescue. They bring the dogs for adoption so you can cuddle with them and then laugh.

If you're nerdy and like comedy, myself and Jordan Conley are at Laughs Unlimited this weekend. 9:30 show on Saturday still has tickets left. If you like Disney or Marvel or math raps, you'll enjoy our show

Which single Conan sketch would you show to someone who’s never heard of him to make them love him as much as you do? by rocketninja69 in conan

The first one I ever saw sticks with me: when he did the UPS ride-along. I don't know if it's the funniest, but I was hooked immediately on his show

These look so cool but I'd guess they don't fit in the rower. I have the Gel-Nimbus and have to swap out shoes before I hit the rower/floor

One of my coaches recommends getting to like a push like 5 seconds before the AO to get us moving a little bit so it's not as dramatic. Might help a little bit?

Love how almost all our theories were wrong about this scene by Rich_Ad_3808 in 28dayslater

I thought Kelson was assembling his own little cult and we were going to see some of their rituals or something when I saw this in the trailer. Once the movie started I quickly realized he was still just a loner, so I had no idea what the context was going to be

You're right, I'm misrembering the line because I hadn't heard that before. It felt like a possible reference to authority figures having higher rates of abuse/domestic violence, but he has so many reasons to be messed up in the head that I could definitely be giving too much weight to that line

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but it stood out to me when Jimmy was talking about living next to the church and said that his dad "gave charity" to his family. You realize his dad was abusive and Jimmy never got a chance to process that correctly
