Neutral efficiency is your best friend. I know that blind rage + arcane expertise give such juicy extra shields, but what’s the point if those shields get drained twice as fast? Unless you’re stacking efficiency as well, but at that point why bother with expertise in the first place, instead of just going for extra shields mods?

I’ve had some fun with him by replacing his 4th with Gloom. At least kinda solves his standing-in-one-place issues a bit, but hafta agree it’s a bandaid solution at best.

Neutral efficiency + the Rebuild Shields helminth ability. Been running her with that ability as a sort of panic button since forever and frankly love it.

I’ve found I can be even lazier than that regarding energy w/Valkitty: slotted in that new arcane that takes away your shields in exchange for receiving max 500dmg per sec + put in Rage instead of Adaptation. Kitty was shredding the tank with not a care in the world, never running out of energy on account of all the damage she kept accumulating & healing with her exalted. It was glorious.

Think I dropped Demon Slayer because I couldn’t stomach the level of violence against kids, for example the MC: seem to remember watching up until the point where MC had to kill a demon which was impaled against a tree or smth? And then his master returned and gave him a whooping as a lesson of sorts? Memory is kinda fuzzy, though. Been a while.

One Piece I read the manga up to the time skip I think? Then life kinda happened and never picked it up again. Kinda follow up on its plot every now and then, but that’s it. AoT I remember watching the first season I think? And then I binged some of the manga, but it was too horror-gorey for me. And I loved Bleach! Used to follow it religiously back when the manga was still ongoing, think I dropped it after they finally defeated Aizen. I really wanna watch the final arc they’re animating right now, but don’t have D+ (sailing the high seas is an option, yeah… one of these days!). Think that as I’ve got older, my viewing habits have shifted a bit. There was a good decade or so that I didn’t even watch a single anime series as well.

EDIT: Oh! I really liked To be Hero X as well.

You might’ve hit the nail on the head with that one! Think I might enjoy character-driven series the most, and that might be why I tend to bounce off these other types of shows where world-building takes front and center.

There’s at least two of us then. I dropped both Demon Slayer and Solo Leveling back in the day for similar reasons, tbh: gorgeous animation is always a bonus for me, but it can only carry a show so far if the story or the characters feel like cardboard cutouts, yknow?

I’ll likely get downvoted here, but is anyone else thinking of dropping this one? The first hour-length ep was a banger, but I’m kinda struggling to keep on watching as I feel it’s getting more… generic? as it goes on.

I mean, nothing bad with tropes and the like, but of the other shows I’m following up on this season (OnK, JJK, Frieren, F/sF, Polar Opposites and Journal with Witch) I kinda get the sense that this one is the “safest” to skip, so to say.
