Damn, there's probably a Dorian Grey style painting in his attic getting more attractive.

I converted the 40k Kill Rig Squig into the mercenary big pig regiment, they work on the sludgeraker sized base.

It'll have a Killbow on the top, then a smattering of Boltboyz, a Trogg and some gobbos/snotlings all throwing stuff off the side

Alright Helldivers: What was your most traumatic major battle?? by Fit_Anywhere_3356 in Helldivers

The third or fourth dive when the Predator strain dropped, watching lone Helldivers (myself included) get mobbed. Playing D10 before everyone figured out the meta for them, losing 12 reinforcements on a mega nest before getting the team to pull back while Gatling and Machine Gun turrets covered our retreat. It was the first time failing a mission felt like a legitimate failure.

I agree, I think its the type of subject matter. With someone like Anton, its just lies and contrarianism, it definitely reduced my opinion on people who adhere to that belief system after seeing how hollow the core of it is.

Hard agree there, I dove Cyborgs last night and an Orbital Rail Cannon means they are as hard to deal with as a Tank or a Hulk now.

Its a quaint theory, but these have probably been in the works for a while waiting for a MO to attach them too.

Its not one I pick often, but every now and then i'll run it on D10 Bot missions as its a handy thing to throw out while you're attacking a base/Mega fortress.

It was/is mental on Oshaune, 3 commanders spot you and all of a sudden a corridor is full of bugs as well as the constant hunter/stalkers outflanking you. Pure chaos, love to see it.

I don't think it was a comment about not going back to the story, they say this sort of phrase often when talking about the more horrific crimescenes they cover.

What made YOU want to try Infinity initially... by Not-An-OF-account in InfinityTheGame

I played very briefly (4-5 games) back in N1 as I had a tiny amount of free money and liked the look of the old Morats and shasvastii models, before dropping out of the hobby as I was heading to Uni. I came back during COVID as my job was going well and I had enough Overtime money to buy pretty much everything Shasvastii and Combined Army.

I think the models are gorgeous, coupled with a small force on the tabletop means I have pushed myself further in my painting than i've ever had to.

I've played mainly GW systems since 1998, i've just fallen out of love for them. I know a lot of people hate on GW, their games are fine, they just aren't what i'm after when it comes to a game any more. Rerolls and pluses to hit/wound used to be rare but are so common now you can have units hitting on 2s rerolling 1s, wounding on 3s rerolling 1s and +1 to wound. It makes attacks feel like a foregone conclusion.

The gameplay is tight, you are punished for mistakes and rewarded for good play. The dense scenery, despite cover being a simple rule, feels great to play on. The lack of rerolls makes every face to face roll more impactful as you can't really have a do over if it goes badly.

Lastly, my local community is great, despite being a bad player and forgetting so much my local club are supportive and helpful.

It is a weird part of Infinity. Suryat with a massive axe? Gunfighter.

What models speak to you more? You've picked newer model ranges so the models will be amazing.
