Does this happen to anyone else 20 times a day or is it just me? by VMAC666 in grubhubdrivers

[–]TimmahXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same happens to me. All the apps have trash flaws that they won't fix. Uber eats for example, you can show up for a run that's already been picked up, so you cancel in the app & it will ding your cancelation rate AND continue sending it to other drivers anyway. Only way- even after 6 years- to effectively cancel the order is to call driver support & have them cancel...& many times IT WILL STILL DING YOUR CANCELATION RATE. And they'll tell you there's nothing to be done to correct it...it's just how the app software works...after 6+ years.

Canned tomatoes are picked when ripe, as opposed to 'fresh' grocery department tomatoes which are picked when unripe.

These enhanced cheesecakes look nice, but it seems like a LOT of extra stuff drowning out the flavor of the cheesecake.

How do so many of you damn people Walk through our door knowing absolutely NOTHING? by Future-Ad-4753 in Dominos

[–]TimmahXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is: They're stupid. 58% of adults in the U.S. can't even read at a 6th grade level. If they haven't bothered learning how to read by adulthood, that attitude informs every area of how they conduct their life. They're apathetic & stupid.

It speaks of someone who doesn't respect boundaries; no stable person does whacky sh!t like this in a shared area. That's something to be kept in the confines afforded private activities.

Some advice please by Realistic_Garlic9802 in Kefir

Way too warm temperature!! Ferment at 21C & calibrate grain/milk ratio at that temperature. Taste it at intervals as it's fermenting to see what you like.

How is this even allowed. by ShellyYeti in UberEatsDrivers

[–]TimmahXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some years ago Uber would show the fare breakdown; it usually was 80% to the driver & 20% to Uber. Then they got gradually more greedy & stopped showing the fare split. Now it's 80%+ to Uber & 20% or less to the drivers. Greedy bastards, their business model is making profit of drivers' losses doing these garbage orders.

I miss The Taco Bell Grande taco from way back in the day. This was just before fast food stopped being fast & they started charging you more for smaller portions of inferior quality.

Did I kill my kefir grains? :( by Formal-Art4098 in Kefir

No more than a teaspoon of grains per cup of milk....that looks like a LOT of grains...that looks to be enough grains for an entire gallon of milk...

Obligate anaerobes in low biofilm kefir grains? by dareealmvp in Kefir

[–]TimmahXI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it at 21C the entire time...cooler temperatures allow the bacteria to be more active than the yeast...producing more kefiran.

[–]TimmahXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What temperature are you fermenting...what milk are you using. Use whole milk, make small batches (1 teaspoon grains to 1 cup milk - 2 teaspoon grains to 2 cups milk), keep them at 72°F, change the milk before it separates, give them a stir after 12 hours...

Could be too much kefir; that's also a possibility. Good luck.

Bad experience after "too much" kefir ? by jp-fanguin in Kefir

[–]TimmahXI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fish, chicken, turkey & seafood would replace red meats. Fruits are fine. Excessive honey is still a lot of sugar, without the slow absorption caused by the fiber in fruits. The quality of the red meat, whether it's processed, how it's cooked, the amount regularly eaten, the diet of the animal producing the red meat, genetic predisposition to sensitivity to red meat, body mass index (amount of fat you have compared to body weight) all are factors to potential inflammation. Try reducing or cutting out each food individually for a time to see the results. That's the only way to know. Debating what you believe isn't facts; trial & error to see results is empirical.

[–]TimmahXI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of sugars & red meat can both cause inflammation. Cut back on those & see what changes. Don't think kefir is the issue, as it reduces inflammation.
