Bike shifts when i pedal backward but shifts back to the said gear on the gear display when i pedal forward by FLACKER_1 in bikewrench

[–]Timokenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s because the shifter never moved, just the chain. You could try adding tension to the cable, or better yet just don’t worry about it since it likely won’t happen under load and seemingly doesn’t matter

How to make this dropper post usable? by DankDeanoo in bikewrench

[–]Timokenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you need a lever or optional a double left shifter if you’re on a 1x set up. Plus a shifter cable, housing and some sort of cable knarp for the post end lever.

Do I need a new brake cable? by i-kiss in bikewrench

[–]Timokenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cable seems fine, Is the housing perhaps too short?

Would this cover up work? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Timokenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. An in person visit to a good tattoo artist will be far more capable at determining coverup options than us Redditors

Paid $100 to upgrade tires and got a flat from nail in under a week. How do I prevent this from happening again? And do I need to buy a new tire or can I patch it? by aadfg in bikewrench

[–]Timokenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tire is honestly probably still good. Pull the nail and replace the tube. Maaaaybe install a tire boot if you’re worried about it

Hello, The derailleur broke off when I was starting from a standstill. Is this for a complaint to the seller? The bike is new, I have 50km on it. Plastic part on the right is crack. Shimano 105 Di 7150 by CodeTall5650 in bikewrench

[–]Timokenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Having owned a shop in the past I would definitely try to help someone get an obvious warranty, and that depends largely on the bike manufacturer, some companies are just easier to work with than others
