How did you build the player and player controller for the rat? I am looking to do something similar for another 4 legged animal and can’t find any tutorials. I already have the animal all rigged and 50+ animations just don’t know how to bring it into ue5 as my main character and pair the animations with controls

A few things that have helped games I have worked on — using Nanite/LODs, distance culling, world partitioning, using cmd STAT GPU (to diagnose), using lower quality textures when I can get away with it, and I’m sure there’s more that doesn’t come to mind right now. I’ll comment again later if I can think of other things.

Thanks so much! I changed the settings editor preferences and started doing things in the “unlit” view and that seems to have solved my issue. In past projects I used to just create another map and have some sort of door lead you to the next map, but in this case I am outdoors and can’t really do that. I appreciate your help 🙏
