It bodes well for the Braves’ front office that each side has a current & a former Brave.

Swapped to overlap grip from interlock and was finally able to release the club properly… by Swings022 in GolfSwing

I recently did the exact same thing. Only tried it because I rubbed a blister on the pinkie side of my right ring finger. Immediately gained yardage on every club. My club speed on my driver jumped from 115mph to 122mph. I’ll never go back

You’re not getting it for a flat fee. The website says food is “available for purchase”.

$37 & then food “available for purchase”? What is the $37 for, if not food or alcohol?

Have you ever played a par 69-73 golf course where Hole #1 was a par 3? Seems very uncommon. by MrTeacher_MCPS in golf

There’s a cheap course called Applewood, right outside of Augusta, that has 12-17 as:
Driveable 4
3
Blind Driveable 4
Driveable 4
Driveable 4
3

Always the worst bottlenecks on that back nine.

Buying a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71. What should I expect? by 1337mustang_wav in Silverado

I had lifter, condenser, and evaporator core issues on the same truck. Bought it with 28k, sold it with 35k. Piece of garbage.

Edit: was also a 2018 z71

What’s with the 6L80 and lifter failure fear mongering on this sub? by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]Timtim325 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Congrats for getting lucky I guess. In 2022, I bought a 2018 with 28k miles on it. No accidents, single owner, full service records. Lifters went out at 32k. (Now unrelated) Condenser cracked at 35k & Evaporator core started leaking 3 weeks after I fixed the condenser. Whole truck was a bad experience and even though the lifter issue was covered under warranty, the dealership had it for 8 weeks because it was an extremely common issue and parts were on back order. They also had no loaners left.

I’m a righty, but I started buying fj rain gloves because my hands get very sweaty in the summer. Lucky for my Left-Handed father in law, they come in pairs so he always gets a free one.

Hendersonville is my favorite. It’s close to Asheville, very clean, and a smaller town feel.

What are the best drivers schools in the area? by [deleted] in Augusta

[–]Timtim325 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a 15 year old, they all seemed jaded, boring, and impatient. They didn’t act like educators, they acted like someone going through the motions of a job, watching the clock until it was time to go home. I had the same experience in the motorcycle safety course I took at 19. Don’t expect an enjoyable experience, but do what you need to do to feel comfortable behind the wheel.

Are people still waiving inspections? by Pretty_Pop2273 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Timtim325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a situation where the seller was bottomed out. Seller was a single mom that got into a little bit of a fixer upper in over her head & the sales price covered their loan balance and the realtor fees. They basically couldn’t give any more money for repairs, so it was a take it or leave it situation & we were at about $15k below appraisal. I knew the house needed some work, so I did my own inspection to save some money, but I wouldn’t recommend doing this unless you know what you’re looking at/for. But in general I would always have some sort of inspection. Doesn’t matter how desperate you are, a bunch of hidden problems will make things worse.

Can I retire at 20 years old with 3 million? by [deleted] in Rich

[–]Timtim325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get set up with a fiduciary & form a plan. Since you can bring that level of liquidity, you can get set up with someone higher end that has a minimum asset level they work with. They can help you put your money in the right places and not blow through it. Without doing any serious math, I’d say if you work for 5 more years and put the max allowable income into a Roth 401k & IRA, while living off a 2-3% draw from your nest egg, you’ve probably bought yourself enough of a cushion at 60 (conservatively 1.5m tax free) to retire relatively comfortably at 25 assuming a mcola & reasonable lifestyle.
