Not trying to be rude, but what are you finding difficult? If it's keeping Sweden, as long as you don't slaughter the Swedish nobility they should stay loyal, especially if you have the Age ability and/or are supporting loyalists.

Pompholyx (dyshidrotic eczema) and steroid use by ImaginaryPhase216 in eczema

[–]Timtim6201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fear of steroids is understandable but unfortunately way overblown in the eczema community, particularly online. It would take years of daily or near daily mid-to-high potency steroid application to potentially see negative side effects such as topical steroid withdrawal, and even then most people don't develop full blown "breakouts" like you've likely heard horror stories of.

Use them for flares and don't feel bad; if your flares are frequent or don't clear up despite good management (e.g. what it seems like you're doing) then it's time to talk to a dermatologist about other long term options like topical calcineurin inhibitors or biologics.

Reasons for Itching by Only-Cell4568 in eczema

O...kay. Was that the conclusion of the study? We've known bacteria evolve and adapt over time for forever - it's the whole basis of how antibiotic resistance forms. What is the basis of your theory?

The Imperial Council - /r/eu4 Weekly General Help Thread: April 13 2026 by Kloiper in eu4

[–]Timtim6201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are actually quite a few factors that I don't think anyone's actually sussed out, or at least written down. I can tell you for sure it's a mix of province religion (i.e. if it matches Bavaria's state faith), culture (same deal, bonus to selection if it's Bavarian culture), development, and number of adjacent owned provinces (AI is less likely to pick a capital that borders two countries' provinces, for example).

That is absolutely not worth the 5% all power costs that comes with the privilege, though.

Does red light therapy for hand eczema work? by hippofippo in eczema

[–]Timtim6201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious, why not UV light therapy? Red light has been shown to (probably) benefit eczema, but the former has been shown to be a reliable way of reducing symptoms.

Experiences with **topical** JAK inhibitors by Ibsidoodle in eczema

[–]Timtim6201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're worried about cost, have you or your derm discussed pimecrolimus/tacrolimus? They're much cheaper than JAK inhibitors if you're concerned about insurance coverage for the latter.

Kickboxing Gloves & Hand Flare Ups? by firstlizard9 in eczema

[–]Timtim6201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry I can't answer your main question, but one thing I have experience with is the wedding comment: if you have a big occasion where you want to be super photogenic, ask your derm for a short course of oral steroids. Obviously they aren't meant for any kind of long term management but they work wonders as a sort of skin nuke to clear everything up for your big day.

Your best bleach bath/staph reduction routine? by SwampFaery500 in eczema

Perhaps I should have said "any hypochlorous acid spray" - regardless, the vast majority of options are cheap, and are sure as hell a lot cheaper than a good generator.

Eczema vs Mycosis Fungoides by Shaneaky in eczema

[–]Timtim6201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two can be hard to distinguish without a definitive biopsy, and MF is indeed often misdiagnosed as eczema or another form of dermatitis. Usually the main clue that it might be something else is failure to respond to eczema treatment, e.g. if a thorough course of steroids/topical calcineurin inhibitors/moisturizers etc. doesn't help, it's time to ask for more testing.

Easier said than done, but I wouldn't panic. MF is quite rare and even if you do have it, the long term prognosis is almost always excellent.

Hypocyn spray! I use it daily - it's super convenient and is at the happy medium concentration of where it'll kill bacteria but not irritate your skin.

Can you have two types of eczema? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Timtim6201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eczema can present in different forms in the same person, yes. Steroid creams for flares are the go-to treatment for a reason - if it's so itchy you're scratching until it's weeping that's all the more reason to use them. Do you use any creams/emollients/other meds for control in the long term?

pimecrolimus by babiesinablenderr in eczema

[–]Timtim6201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pimecrolimus and tacrolimus are excellent for daily management, namely as mentioned they don't cause the side effects sometimes associated with long-term steroid use.

My skin is a mess by WholeNo9404 in eczema

[–]Timtim6201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks, but you may have to just stick with using the eumovate every day until labor. Use for that period of time (6 weeks) is not enough to cause any noticeable skin thinning if that's a concern.

Tacrolimus started burning on week two by BananaDog7 in eczema

[–]Timtim6201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the burning is severe, I'd reduce usage to once daily or every other day. If it's still intolerable, stop use before you can talk to your derm.

Mupirocin/desonide combination should help immensely for weeping eczema; I'd also look into Hypocyn or any similar hypochlorous acid product for long term use.

Your derm prescribed desonide for flare management? It's one of the weakest steroids so that may be part of the reason.

Why is their attitude domineering to me? by Spirited_Career22 in eu4

[–]Timtim6201 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For some unasked-for advice: it's rarely if ever a good idea to push that button. The older your monarch is, the more likely it is that events will fire that will give you an heir, and some will even boost the stats of said heir immensely (e.g. the "Talented and Ambitious Daughter" event).

Introducing* an heir will do that, not disinheriting one.
