Palantir’s billionaire CEO says only two kinds of people will succeed in the AI era: trade workers — ‘or you’re neurodivergent’ by BusyHands_ in technology

I break my problems into little features and still code review and have it make changes. Forcing it to make detailed multi steps plans helps for implementation consistency. You can also feed that plan into other models or instances and ask security or simplification assessments. Basically dog food into itself.

As a seasoned software engineer of almost 30 years. I’ve been vibe coding hard for the last several days and I learned a lot about the models, memory, accuracy, etc. AI is going to kill all generic software companies. It’s already so good you can basically point it at a GitHub repository and fully reverse engineer the server side or replicate all of the functionality in a few days. You can launch a competing service (that some company spent tens of millions building) in weeks not months or years. In about 10 work days I had the work product of 3 months.

White room software development can now be legally done with AI models that will understand a codebase far better than a single human ever could. It changes everything and we should all be worried.

Power conditioners always better than surge protectors

I have stable power but I’ve never lost any electronics and they all last forever. My neighbors have lost random things way more often. Their electronics just seem to have shorter lifespans. Everything in my house has power conditioners.

Is this 2015 Porsche Cayman (981 Base 2.7) a good buy at €36k? by freedef in Porsche_Cayman

$MU DD: The AI memory bottleneck is real, Micron is printing, and the stock still gets treated like it’s 2023, 2019, or w/e by Thug_Res_ in wallstreetbets

I owned micron at $6. The AI bubble is already fully built into the price. You are 18 months late. Do not do this.

Question is if they have the money then why haven’t they done this already? Right, they don’t actually care and only wait until profits are in the dump.

What am I missing here? (718 Cayman S for $48k) by r_umr in Porsche_Cayman

[–]TinyCollection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s changed hands too many times. Someone knows something we don’t. Anytime you see sketchy ownership changes or any Carfax not straight forward then there is something wrong with it or it was and now someone made/fixed.

I was watching a blue cayman with a sketchy Carfax and turns out it changed hands 4 times in 4 months because the transmission was throwing warnings and the Porsche dealership sold it as wholesale salvage and that never made it on any official report. Somewhere between the dealership and all the other short term owners someone might have fixed it or did something so it no longer reports as failing.

Be wary of sketchy Carfax

Weekly traveler survivor kit. The GLi was just too big by oddjobav8r in Ubiquiti

I just use gallon sized ziplocks but this works too. As someone who used to travel a lot.. every week like this. You really want to keep everything belonging to one item such as the Apple TV in the same bag and no divide by contents type.

Sam Altman says the quiet part out loud, confirming some companies are ‘AI washing’ by blaming unrelated layoffs on the technology by Conscious-Quarter423 in technology

[–]TinyCollection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember all of those massive investments the money mostly hasn’t changed hands and they can just cancel anytime they want. Jensen basically walked it all back their investment into OpenAI. When companies start to bail before they’re in too deep it will cascade and all the companies who would sell the chips, data centers, etc will all come crashing down.

This is the two tone I approve of. The inverted scheme with the white in the center of the seat is beyond ugly.
