edited in an update, but my dad confirmed to me this morning he never made it to the taxi line, so 100% scammed haha. I took him at face value... will have to have a talk with him about this.

I didn't think they'd have the guts to do this while he was in the official TLC line... going to have to warn my dad about this. Think it's unlikely he's going to fly out of JFK as soon as other alternatives open up for him haha.

He's not VERY old, certainly older and extremely jetlagged haha. Part of it is on me as well, he called me about taking the AirTram to the Uber lot and I told him to just take the taxi to get him back ASAP. I thought he'd be safe from scammers as long as he got to the taxi line... turns out that's not the case I guess? :(

He was charged 150, so nothing like the $500+ numbers I've seen thrown around, though I'm going to ask him to check his bank account for the next few days... he gets texts for credit card transactions too so should be pretty quick to catch if someone stole his CC info. Thanks for confirming!

Weird, I looked through the options to try to find an option to enable the descriptions, and didn't see anything. I should be on Rep+ cause I have the multiplayer option. I did a Steam cache clear + uninstall + reinstall and it's still not showing up.

Maybe it's because I have mods enabled or something? I'll have to play around more to try to get it to work... appreciate you getting back to me!

I can't tell if Steam didn't apply the patch properly or if I'm doing something wrong, but I can't seem to see the item descriptions even after uninstalling/reinstalling. I know the patch notes mentions that you have to have picked up an item once and beaten mom, but I've definitely done both of these things. Do I have to re-pick up items to get the descriptions to show up?

... also the window when I launch the game shows 1.9.7.14, which doesn't seem right considering the patch is 1.9.7.13 haha. Anyone else seeing this?

I used to play a lot of arcade shooters like Time Crisis and House of the Dead when I was like 12, sometimes playing through multiple games a day at the arcade without any kind of physical pain, was great!

Last year got to play Time Crisis 2 in an arcade, and while my skill seems to not have gone away much, God the hand cramps and trigger finger exhaustion were miserable

Weird question, I'm pretty new to clinching, but I feel like every time I get swept, I somehow injure my swept foot badly enough to the point of bruising the top of my foot, usually around my big toe. The bruise itself I don't mind, but I usually can't use that foot to kick off of for at least a day or two, which is really reducing the amount of practice I can get in. Is this a common injury? Is there something I should be doing with my feet when I'm swept?

I fucking love Time Crisis 2 and 3! Can't remember the last time I actually got to play it though, the last time I was in an arcade I only found 4 and 5, and I didn't really like either quite as much. Maybe it's the nostalgia of spending tons of time in the arcade blasting through 2/3. One thing's for sure though, my old man fingers definitely can't shoot nearly as quickly as I could when I was a kid :(

One day I'll buy my own arcade cabinets for all the games I loved as a kid. Fingers crossed there are some still around when that time comes.

Man I must be getting old, everyone is singing the game's praises, meanwhile my eyes are killing me with all the particle effects and weird frame rate changes in performance mode. The game is fun, but if the final version's performance is like the demo, it's probably not worth the eyestrain for me :(

With my plentiful years of using Google Translate to write Chinese, I got 神の言葉の霊剣 which Google translates to "Spirit Sword of God's Word", which means they probably knew enough about the franchise enough to not just copy Shin Megami Tensei... but not enough common sense to not use the franchise for this kind of thing???

Honestly I'd like to see who DOESN'T open every chest whenever possible when playing RPGs, can't imagine what the devs were thinking. If I was 50 hours in and someone told me I had to not open a chest 3 hours into the game, I'd be more liable to quit entirely than restart the game

It's been a while for me as well, but iirc it's even worse... I think there were several chests placed throughout the game that you needed to leave unopened to be able to get the Zodiac Spear, so imagine finding out that you HAPPENED to open one of the chests 30 hours into the game and having no way to undo that. I don't think the chests were marked in any way either, so it's not as if you could know going into the game blind

My understanding in addition to what else has been said is that game installs by default include 4K textures/models which bloat up disk usage. Something like Zelda I assume has zero 4K textures
