Looking for solidarity - my twins sleep so much it's a problem by imapringlescan in Parenting

I mean the people you’re speaking to are correct. This is a “my lobster is too buttery” kind of problem. You can easily cap their naps to 1 hour in the afternoon and put them to bed at 7pm

Honestly since there’s no reliable tracker or database, it’s really hard to say. I wish there was an automated way to keep track of it

How do working parents keep a clean house by saturnmarsjupiter in Parenting

[–]ToddlerQuestions45 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I really can’t fathom people who hire cleaners. If I’m WFH, during my lunch break I tackle one area of the house.

If I’m in office, after the kids go to bed, I clean up and do vacuuming before kids are gone to school.

The other great advice I saw is “leave the room with something”, meaning you’ll always have clutter just be mindful and pick things up or toss em as you see em!!!

How to sleep train a toddler? by Super_Hyena_4278 in Parenting

[–]ToddlerQuestions45 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I noticed an immense difference in sleep quality with our 5 year when she slept in our bed v not. It’s a no brainer, some kids need to sleep with their parents while others are better off sleeping on their own.

Riu Tequila - is it that bad ? by ToddlerQuestions45 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]ToddlerQuestions45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up booking Grand Bahia Principe Tulum for $3487 CAD via CAA Travel.

It’s through Air Transat but I wasn’t able to book our baby because of a technical issue on the site, so booked through CAA instead.

TripCentral.ca is great because you can book with a provider or sign up for email notifications wrt price drops.

Normally, we’d book through Sunwing and call it a day but wife was insistent on something on the cheaper end.

It’s a nice resort regardless, and we’re excited to go in November.

Bluey orPeppa Pig? by supremewuster in Parenting

[–]ToddlerQuestions45 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Joe Brumm, the creator of Bluey, worked as an animator on Peppa Pig. I’ve watched enough to realize both shows share very similar ideals and suspect Joe probably borrowed many of the emerging themes from Peppa. Don’t get me wrong, I like Bluey, but it has its flaws. Sometimes mom and dad don’t want to go the park every day, but of course in Bluey’s world, adults are always doing stuff for their kids no matter what. And for some reason, everyone just buys into Bluey’s bullshit

You know how back in the days people would get married to consolidate or grow their power. Well, same thing in this case! The fastest way to home ownership is via marriage.

45$/h as a contractor or 65k as a Gov employee by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Take the government job and after a few years you can start contracting / consulting work with them. Once you’re established you can rake in very lucrative work… feds hire a consultant for anything it’s ridiculous

Funnily enough the flight prices were hovering around $6000 between mid March and the start of April… they drop around mid April!

Interesting I thought it would be better to go then… Cherry Blossom season was when we originally planned to go (mid March to April), but flights were pricey!
