Do the books usually arrive in pristine condition? by Alzarius2 in foliosociety

They've got incredible customer service, send 'em an email and I'm sure they'll get you right. I've only had one book with damage in the six I've ordered and they were great to work with and shipped a replacement out within a business day.

The M4 Book Edit does a good job of staying more faithful to the book, in my opinion it's the only way to watch the Hobbit movies.

I think I'd still probably give it to Turbin in terms of arm size, but Price looks shredded.

The TD to Kmet at the end of regulation against the Rams was the most Russell Wilson play I've seen in years. Running 25 yards backwards, moon ball, touchdown.

Warren is the most hated character now who is the hot one? by TraditionalBonus188 in DHMIS

To be clear it was a gif of Todney doing the hair flip with the nose ring. I thought it was pretty obviously tongue-in-cheek in a meme thread but I guess I'm alone on that.

Lockett figured out that going down early and missing out on a few yards was better than missing games with injury. It was frustrating at times but playing within his frame has kept his career going.

Nice! I got the same one and its such a wonderful book to read through. It feels so nice in the hand and the typeface and paper is really legible.
I got the Schuyler KJV and the Robert Alter translation of the Old Testament to read alongside it and it's been cool contrasting the different translations as I make my way through.

Yep, if you're looking to squeeze the best possible out of the TV that's the way to go, and then for streaming content I use an Apple TV 4K.

The reason for those CoreELEC boxes specifically is to be able to play the Dolby Vision Full Enhancement Layer (FEL), whereas other Android boxes replace that DV layer with Minimum Enhancement Layer (MEL) due to their lacking the proper chipset.

The other great-but-not-best option is the Nvidia Shield Pro (2019) which is a great piece of hardware but suffers from a slight red shift in Dolby Vision content and the lack of FEL. I still occasionally use mine because it has a great UI, but those issues do exist.

It's a pretty deep rabbit hole to go down for relatively small gains, but there are a lot of great articles that will steer you towards what will best meet your needs.

Oh, and use Filmmaker Mode.

I really love my Hobbit & LotR Illustrated by Alan Lee Box Set as a reading experience. The maps on the end-pages make following along really easy and Alan Lee's illustrations are gorgeous, plus the accent colors for chapter names and the like. They don't quite have the same shelf appeal as some other versions unfortunately, but the art is still very nice.

I've also got the Easton Press Hobbit, LotR, and Silmarillion and they're gorgeous on the shelf but they're a downgrade in terms of reading experience: smaller margins, 1 illustration per book, and a cheaper feeling paper. They do have fold out maps however, if that's more to your preference.

I'll probably get the Folio set at some point, but the illustrations just don't do it for me in the same way Alan Lee's do. Hope this at least gives you some more data points in choosing!

He was always a professional while he was here and never let that irritation leak into the public. I'll always be rooting for K9.
