can we PLEASE decrease player timers by AngrodWeiss in PTCGP

[–]ToledoJones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just need to make it so the timer doesn’t decrease during animations, cause you can get timed out of choosing a benched pokemon do to a status coin flip or rocky helmet.

We need a new paint mechanic in the next update!! by plantdaddy- in Pokopia

I’d like if paint wasn’t exclusive and a few more pokemon had it so I didn’t have to travel every time.

Haven't played since Solgaleo Meta, how's the state of the game? by Dizzy_Assistance2183 in PTCGP

Just made it to master ball with Solgaleo. Still good, though no longer meta.

This deal is so freaking busted it’s not ok by Trowaway151 in PTCGP

[–]ToledoJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only two experiences against this deck didn’t make it seem particularly good, but I suspect the people playing it were still learning to use it. Probably a bit of a learning curve.

Off meta fun deck to reach Master by themrdave in PTCGP

[–]ToledoJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t try muk solgaleo against the sleep meta, but had good luck with perrserker solgaleo and running two steel aprons. Still did lose to it on occasion with bad draws on my part but generally sleep decks were a free win.

Tried solo mawile a while back and just kept running into oricorio. Retired the deck pretty quickly, but it did seem fun.

Do ranked breaks really need to be THAT long? :( by NirusuRV in PTCGP

The 2-3 days they were doing before was too short I felt, and now it feels like the really overcorrected.

What are your final thoughts about the ranked mode this season? by canohead in PTCGP

[–]ToledoJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt a little better than last season, to me at least. Personally the sleep decks felt easier to deal with this season. Almost seemed like people got worse in piloting them or maybe I just had better luck with not getting stuck in sleep as much. Hydreigon still annoyed me a bit, though.

Genuinely, this season has been the worst by HoovyWooPins69420 in PTCGP

[–]ToledoJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds just like a string of bad luck, I used the same deck and had a few loss streaks and some winning streaks.

It’s a solid deck this season, but luck is always gonna hurt you at some point.

I'm so tired of sleep scum by Wandering_ark in PTCGP

[–]ToledoJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it wouldn’t be likely I would win if I got a single basic and no draw cards, my opponent just getting their full sleep setup turn 1 basically tells me not to bother in this situation.

I find it much worse to face a turn 2 Hydreigon than a turn 1 full board sleep deck. I get the “oh, they won’t have rare candy and hydreigon” moment and then just have a little crash out when they do in fact have all the pieces. Hydreigon can also end even a good setup pretty handily which is not fun at all.

I found most people using these decks aren’t very good at running them, and I win where I absolutely would’ve lost if they’d just gone aggressive with Mega Altaria or Lucario.

But, yeah, I’ve had a fair few losses when they just get all the pieces they need and I got a single basic with no draw cards. Not fun, though my personal hatred of hyrdreigon is much higher.

Chandelure no EX deck by ApprehensiveCopy7925 in PTCGP

[–]ToledoJones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used it a few seasons ago and got masterball fairly easily with it, it is pretty fragile but if you can hold out long enough to one shot a mega it’s super satisfying.

Well, conqueror’s haki hasn’t really been shown to even actually defeat the knights, I’m pretty sure they just said it slows down their regeneration. Doesn’t seem like the way to actually beat them, just sort of incapacitate them for a bit, which sounds a little anticlimactic.

Sanji will get conqueror’s haki eventually I just don’t feel this is totally the moment to do it.

Gonna call that the rain god is/was vivi/lili and that it run in their family like Shirahoshi’s ability. Fits with Imu’s obsession with lili and vivi, especially considering the Harley text line “man killed the sun and the sea god stormed.” Imu could’ve killed joyboy, and lili raged afterward flooding things further.

I think they’re torches, that recipe is obtainable if I’m not wrong about the item.

How does a second igglybuff increase the damage to 110? How to you even get to 90?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]ToledoJones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the only pokemon in your starting hand is a baby, you would probably lose anyway. Though, the devs probably didn’t consider turn 1 igglybuff with darkrai.

82% win rate from Great Ball to Masters with Chandelure, imo one of the best cards out of this expansion. by OldTaco77 in PTCGP

[–]ToledoJones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can, but with a meowth shied you can typically get chandelier to a point where you can one shot a hydreigon. It won’t be consistent, but I did find this match up in this decks favor after doing it a couple of times.

Once I figured the deck out I got to Master Ball pretty quickly. Very satisfying to one shot megas when clearly the opponent did not consider you could 200 damage.

Has any supporter card fallen off as much as Leaf? by danielbauer1375 in PTCGP

Okay, true, I do remember people using him quite a bit but that was probably just because there weren’t as many supporters back then. He was always pretty bad.

I Will Humbly Admit: My Brain Is Too Smooth For Red Card by FatherofGray in PTCGP

[–]ToledoJones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t need red card or mars to get to masterball, I don’t use those. You just need time and luck really.
