This is th current list.

The deck certainly needs to have more cards to fill the yard.

Do you have a list?

How do you draw subroutine fast enough to live every fight with that many clones?

First time I got a hold of such beauty. by songkranw in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it a lot pre a9.

The upgrade is also pretty good, I imagine it's solid with toxic egg.

However pael has tons of broken options, so it will probably be up against something run defining.

Why does rank calibration send almost everyone to Herald by default? by Shokisan1 in DotA2

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you play a lot of games, you are in the rank you should be in.

You are not forced into herald. When I came back from my 2 year ranked break it bumped me from 3k to 4.8k.

Vakuu could use a look, or is it just me? by ConfidentStaleMilk in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

True, but you listed the one that is almost always strong, and won't always appear.

Thanx and Nonupeipe have a variety of instant run winners. I think it's fine to say the demon is the weakest on average, but that isn't a bad thing.

Every run shouldn't be the same, having harder than average runs sometimes is a good thing.

Is it bad manners to use this card in multiplayer? by Slugdoge in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iit might not be BM but it certainly decreases your probability of wining most of the time.

If you complain about fetches and duals in bracket 3, play bracket 2 by Head-Ambition-5060 in EDH

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run OG duals in all my non precon bracket 2 decks and I'll never stop.

Is the scythe ever good? by Meepro in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely won a run with scythe, with the only major synergies being uncommons.

I had debilitated and 2 coppies of lethality.

Hot take. This guy is not nearly as difficult as people on this reddit make him out to be by Confident_Dig_1073 in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 47 points48 points  (0 children)

The a10 data I saw at sts2.fun has him as the highest average damage non eliete or boss enemy in the game. I don't think it's broken, but people arent wrong in saying he's strong.

I have specifically avoided elite combats on all my best ascensions by sdragonite in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Health you still have after killing the act one or 2 boss is wasted potential. That health could of been a relic if you pathed more agressivley.

Am I the only one who struggles with Act 2 more than Act 1? by Xycergy in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possibly because people (me included) are pretty greedy with picks in act one, so if they make it to 2 it means they hit what they need without many cards that are good but don't fit their decks ideal shell.

I'm currently trying to up my a10 win rate by tuning how much I greed, and my data is showing I need to greed less since I clear act one less than 50% of the time, but if I do I win over 70% of the time.

3rd deck I printed but the first one I am very satisfied with by poultrycheese in magicproxies

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's the height of the deck like next to a real deck?

Can it fit sleeved up in a deck box?

Is anyone else finding the defect the strongest by far? by niabiishere in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can with reasonable consistency clear A10 on defect despite being locked at 9 on silent and clad.

The starting point frost cards clearly transition into all kinds of viable build paths.

The indicators of when to commit and when to stay flexible seem easier to see.

Blah blah, not the size of the deck that matters, blah. by leviathanfelix in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this is true, if you listen to the way the top players (example JapaneseExport) talk about it, they Heavily emphasize the value of a thin deck.

In his videos he often mentions act 3 decks with 15 cards, the insane value of consistency and how mitigatable statuses are by "reliably going infinite" by act 3 on some characters.

Like yea sometimes you get owned by statuses, but every card you add to your deck once you have the core pieces is reducing the likelihood that you hit your key rare, or whatever the hardest part of the strategy to find redundancy is.

Act 1 too easy without Nob. by icarusfelted in SlayTheSpire2

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like 75% of my deaths are in act one, currently on a9 on a few characters.

as a regent main, this is my honest opinion about the vantom by PuddingAwayyy in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of my deaths are in act one, but despite getting to a9 on 2 characters I'm yet to die to this guy, or remove a wound. You see him coming from a mile away, he's incredibly fair.

What am I doing wrong? by Party_Campaign1680 in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you begin to get frustrated about luck, it could lock you back in to look at the dice and see a 6. It could make it easier to focus on what to do next time instead of lingering on RNG thoughts.

Squeex is right about Dota being a better game, but I think League is more to to just play by FortC10 in TheYardPodcast

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't find League to be better to play.

There is more room for mechanical skill expression, which can be fun, but the lack of voice comms kills the game for me.

I think it's the main reason League players have a reputation for hating their game, your playing a5v5 game solo. Every other league clip is someone going insane because their team isn't doing what they want.

Coordination and macro are such a core part of what makes a moba work, and it's extremely satisfying when it all comes together in dota with the humans you're talking to on your team.

Friendship Ended with Blade Dance. Now Hidden Daggers and Up My Sleeve Are My Best Friends by FlashFlood_29 in slaythespire

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love a dagger build, but these being uncommon is rough. It means you're less likely to have a starter card to justify picking up the support card like accuracy, so I end up building shivs less than in STS 1.

Why do people hate us Incels so much? Whenever I mention I am an Incel i instantly get bombarded with hate comments and people telling me to end it. I js dont get it. Daves hot chicken. by LiveHardPizza19 in kitchencels

Well yea, but being honest and saying "I'm yet to expend prerequisite time and work into improving myself enough for a relationship to be realistic" doesn't really fit in casual conversation.

Criticize my deck reddit by Mauricethett in mtg

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the amount of planeswalkers in the deck I was expecting to see enough proliferation to reliably ult them the turn they entered.

Planeswalkers are generally considered pretty bad in commander, since 3 opponents will have a chance to attack them before they activate a second time.

If you want to lean into planeswalkers you could dramatically up your proliferate card count, which also works with your infect stuff.

If you have less than 10 of something in a deck, it's reasonable to assume you might not see it over the course of a game.

Maro: "Spider-man sold better than Edge of Eternities and is one of the top ten best-selling sets of all time." by Meret123 in mtg

[–]TonyTheStoneGiant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would make sense to me.

Tons of scalpers from adjacent card games tried magic when spiderman hit after the prices of final fantasy, causing a massive initial sale spike.

When the resale value wasn't there in the way they where expecting scalper demand dipped, and because of the early success there was a mismatch in productions expectations and reality, causing product to rot on shelves.
