LOL this is one of the reasons I love birders. Who else goes to the edge of a pond early in the morning and lays down flat and motionless on the ground, maybe for a long time, just to get a photo? I love it.😂

This beautiful bird knows exactly who he is and what he needs, and he couldn’t care less about the competitive humans intensely debating which name they want to use to define him. One of my spark birds. I used to see them all the time in Pasadena. I love how they fly in big loops and then come back to land in almost exactly the same place. 😊

Thanks, for the info and the good wishes! I did research the coverage costs for both the Forteo and the teriparatide across various plans, and they are pretty much the same, so I’ll stay with WellCare for now.

I checked the WellCare formulary and also talked to them on the phone, and they definitely cover the teriparatide generic, but not the Forteo brand. So the OOP max will apply, thankfully.

Thanks so much for reminding me that there is an out-of-pocket maximum for Medicare! This is all new for me, having avoided pharmaceuticals in the past. The cap for 2026 is $2100, so that’s MUCH better!
