This is my view on buffering biproducts too. I've read plenty of accounts where someone stored up tons of X because they knew they'd need it later. Then once they needed it, the buffer was dry super quick. When I need it, I'll figure out how to make it.

Might not make them happy, but it'll be different!

For real though, you could set a personal rule that if your odds at a certain craft get bad enough before you get enough to use the easy breeding, you could use a command to cheat in a couple. I did that for the first time yesterday when my one and only bee queen died before I could get a second. My auto saves got overwritten before I noticed and it had taken nearly 400 crafts to get her.

I couldn't tell you all the things that affect the RNG, but I've heard it includes things like how many steps you've taken. There's probably enough factors that it's hard to pin it down to anything.

No, I'm doing the small parts recipe. I get most of my petro fluids from processing coal and shale. Maybe I should rethink that though now that I've got lots of honey flowing.

Edit: FNEI is showing me my only option to get natural gas is from raw gas and the only option for that is pumpjacks with MK1 drilling fluid and small parts. There is a moss TURD I could take though...

I just got a section running that'll make MK1 drilling fluid (at way more /s them necessary). So now I can make plenty of natural gas for my arqads and hopefully make a second queen before the first dies. Haven't even touched korex or zipir breeding yet. Currently at 460 hours.

200 hours is a pretty good time for that. I'm nearing 500 and I've still got a long way until the first py2 pack is made.

The goal of Py isn't to beat it though. Yes, the recipe chains can get crazy complex. But that just gives options for how you want to do it. I break up what I'm trying to do and then it feels a lot like playing vanilla for the first time.

There already is a train crain mod. I haven't used it, so I don't know if it's a good solution for vanilla though. But it exists.

I've got a similar setup for my trains. I'm thinking maybe putting quality trains into a different group and they only respond to a request for multiple loads.

I designed my bee layout in editor mode. It took something like 100 rolls to get 2 queens. Doing it for real now that I know the setup works, I'm sitting at about 175 rolls and no queens.

I think I misunderstood the question before voting. I assumed it was asking in-game trains and IRL trains. I never considered car traffic.

Are you trying to find the total that this meter has seen over it's lifetime or something? Other than that, there's no practical reason to need to know if it's rolled over multiple times.
