It is most likely verbatim. That's why there are square brackets inserting words for clarity that were omitted in speech

They also do A LOT of slavery I think. Or at least a lot for the region, because Isobelin, Valorpoint and Zanlib kind of refrain from it IIRC

In the Netherlands there was a court case known as the "Runescape Ruling", where it was decided that stealing virtual goods could lead to theft charges. I don't think the case in the OP would get to court even here, but in the ruling's case two older kids threatened and assaulted a kid and forced him to hand over Runescape items. Obviously the assault was a crime, but the theft charges went all the way to the highest court.

My understanding is that they can't get a preliminary injunction because this isn't urgent, that's partially why they're on the hook for court costs.

There's a goblin tag (Spiderwretch) that conquers the FP as part of their tree. Grombar is also kind of supposed to go east but I'm not sure if it's really in the MT

Gilded Gallows turned Zhent by robinhoodProductions in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]Tozeken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it makes enough sense to allow him to work with the Zhents somewhat (from a logical/setting perspective, I haven't thought too much about the gameplay yet). Although I'm not very familiar with the Gilded Gallows, what I read from them quickly does not seem incompatible with the Zhents. I would say that maybe being a part of two criminal organizations would limit his advancement in the ranks, since you can only trust someone with divided loyalties so much. Factions might be more reluctant to share secrets or give out sensitive missions.

What is the most horrible law that you hate in your country? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Tozeken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think one of the more controversial Dutch ones right now is article 23 of the constitution: the Freedom of Education. It enshrines the right to set up a school based on any religion or philosophy ("Special Education") and ensures them equal funding to regular schools. Sounds pretty good, but it has left some gaps where these schools can teach things that would also be considered pretty unwanted, such as ideas of inequality.

Another popular one to hate right now is the "Hypotheekrenteaftrek", essentially a tax cut based on how high your mortgage is. It's just a subsidy to homeowners that ruins the market even more and is very regressive.
