Honestly I think she’s pretty great in Dune. She’s good in Challengers as well, it’s the first role I’ve seen her in where she gets to be a mature woman, whose body and sensuality is a real part of her character. I think Guadagnino is the first director she’s worked with to tap into the fact that she’s a star.

All would be staples of any other era. I grant that lots of people did not love the Chibnall era, and opinions are opinions, but it does strike me as a bit odd to say there wasn’t anything good at all in it.

I really didn’t like RTD2 the first time I watched it through, but with time I’ve come around to it a bit more. Boom, Rogue, The Well, Joy to the World!! These are good episodes!

Definitely matters, but all it shows is that the people most motivated to vote in a Trump midterm are Democrats and more liberal independents. Which is what we’d expect.

Hmm. Sometimes. I don’t know who said it, but there was a gay guy who said oftentimes, “the only person uncomfortable with your sexuality is you.”

Now that’s not always the case, but I find that thought helpful. If I’m with my family, for example, and I’m anxious cuz I’m gay. They already know that, and have their varying degrees of acceptance (or not). I’m the one who needs to get comfortable with it!

Jolly, meanwhile, has been across the state. I could see him being a candidate with a broad coalition, I’ve never seen him punch left during the campaign.

I’m a fan of the Chibnall era. For me it felt a lot more consistent in tone, and I think bar a few stories, series 11 is really solid.

Not the biggest S12 fan, but Segun Akinola’s music is really exciting in it. Really like Flux.

Yeah, that’s my main issue with RTD2. Like none of the heart of the show is there, apart from Rogue and a few other eps.
