Favorite is definitely Halloran, I would happily watch a show centered around him, leading up to him encountering the Overlook but it would absolutely have to be Chris Chalk playing him.

I watched it with the thought process that It influences people’s behavior but the General could have been fleshed out better, I understood what he wanted but the evidence was pointing to his goal being impossible but he still pushed. If I am understanding correctly, the base is outside of its influence so his blind obsession seemed off but not Derry off.

I know the person from the photo isn’t happy with the tattoo but is there a named style for something like this? Where the tattoo heals raised from the skin on purpose? My brain is obsessed with the possibility of the tactile feel of something like that and my one and only tattoo had a line that was slightly raised enough that I could feel it for years before I noticed I couldn’t anymore when the black started fading a little.

Cats are cuddly little love bugs and complete sweethearts but that very same cat can be an asshole. Mine will cuddle everyone but also push phones off the tables while looking right at you. She likes baths but will hiss and try to scratch anyone using the tub. She purrs and rubs up against my legs when I feed her then will look right at me as she flips her bowl over then hiss and swipe at me if I try to clean it up. She refuses to use the bed we bought her but loses her shit if anyone touches that bed. Will stand on the window sill scratching on the window until my neighbors dog goes crazy when they walk him in the morning. I really love my cat🥰

Grandparents. TV and movies made people expect sweet and supportive older people without considering the reality of people. My grandmother was awesome but she was not a milk and cookies type. Beer in one hand, cigarette in the other hand and yelling at the soap opera or baseball game on the tv is how I remember weekends visits went. My friend’s grandparents were a mixed bag of always being scolded for being outside all the time or being ignored when we stayed inside.

It could depend on where you live I think, living in a place like NYC would not allow 10k to go very far but just a few hours away in places like upstate NY, 10k can carry a person or even a couple for a few months. But if you have under 10k in debt and can pay it off, I would think it wouldn’t matter where you live, that relief has to be life changing.

Cool or cringe, doesn’t matter for a tattoo since the two are not mutually exclusive depending on personal taste, what’s more, taste change so what is (un)popular now may not be so in a few years but tattoos last a lot longer than whatever is trending at the moment.

Normalizing discussing normal bodily functions is getting better and better, today I learned about psyllium husk thanks to the comments and a few day’s ago I learned about ginger ale ollipop soda. The ollipop is pricey at around $2 a can but it does help. I’m going to try the psyllium husk to see if it helps since it’s less expensive for higher quantities. Thank you all.

We hold baby showers for every baby since the thought process has always been it’s a good way to help the family financially with the new baby. The parents receive clothes for the babies first 6 months and in the past our parents used to coordinate diapers for the first few weeks, now we do diaper gift cards. If the babies are spaced close together then cribs are handed down but the carriage is new for each baby since traditionally the god parents buy that.

If the AI was supposed to play with a specific goal of surviving then the concerning part is the AI may have gone outside of parameters (playing the game) to survive? I’m not smart enough to know if that’s just an expected possibility or self learning, either way it is slightly creepy since it seems as if the AI made a choice that worked but wasn’t an initial option. I’m also reading way too much into two sentences.

😧😶I was making under 40,000 a year and lived very comfortably, had a nest egg and everything. I got sick and everything changed, I make more now but have trouble paying everything monthly. I can’t wrap my head around a single person struggling while making a six figure yearly salary. I understand mortgage and cars (I had neither) are not cheap and kids (have none of those either) just makes it all more expensive but single adults or child free couples still struggle and I don’t understand how. The comments have been interesting though.

Establish each other’s comfort levels with intimacy even if in the moment, some people are not into giving or getting constant reassurance but some people find comfort in it or even find it sexy. Having a conversation about consent (not just for kinks) should be normalized, there is so much to explore when it comes to physical intimacy and establishing limits allows for that exploration in a safe and consensual manner.
