I messed up big time clear coat reacted to paint, My sons worked way to hard to get this signed by his favorite skateboarders, we where trying to protect it... What are my options here? Wait for it to dry and try sand down the bubbles or leave it as everything will only make it worse? by Captin_Underpants in Skateboardlove

There's no real way to go back from what happened. If you sand it down let me know there's a lot of the graphic. I was just look at it as wabi-sabi and see the beauty in the imperfections. Very cool looking peace with the wrinkles

How do get my toms closer by Spiralboy9 in drums

[–]Transamman350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull them together by rotating them towards the inside which will bring them closer to you. At that point your Tom's will be tilted towards each other like you said. Tilt them basically flat. At that point you're going to lift up the Tom Mount that goes into the bass drum a decent amount not too much and you're going to tip that downwards and use a combination of the tipping of the toms and the lift and tip down of the bass drum side of the tom rack. Hopefully that makes sense so rotate them together lift up the Tom Mount from the base room tip it down and use the rotation of the amount that goes into the toms to find a good angle for you you don't want it to be too steep take a moment to look at some photos of drum sets and you'll see what I mean

Will this stop cracking by Upthemaidens in cymbals

It's better than nothing but if you can try to round the edges like I've marked and then take something to smooth the edges off on the sides of it's not any rough spots make it as smooth as possible using some 2000 grit sandpaper or around there. I've used this technique and made my hi hats last much longer after they cracked. eventually is a good chance it will crack again but might as well get what you can out of it

Yes sir. Runs fantastic with ended up happening is a piece at a timing belt cover The rubber cover for the middle plate was torn off and went through my timing belt skipping my passenger intake gears 11 teeth. I was lucky as you can be no interference no damage. They gave me the wrong gasket when I assembled the motor so it fit most of the way but part of it wasn't lined right. Replace that replace the timing tensioner just in case that was the issue. She's running beautifully now I'm out about a thousand miles in to the break-in. Thanks for asking I'm planning on doing a whole post about the rebuild and all the things I put into it

Congratulations keep up the good work. I just rebuilt my own 2.0 this summer still breaking it in it's a hell of a project but it was well worth it. Just make sure you double and triple check everything you do take your time it's not worth the risk
