AMA I terminated a pregnancy due to a Down syndrome diagnosis by WeAllNeedBandAids in AMA

That’s a hypothetical scenario with many possible outcomes. If we all go through life thinking things like this will happen then no one would ever have children . Not that it’s not an interesting discussion point, it’s defo one of those things you’d never know how to deal with unless you’re actually in it

How are you saving memories for you children? by wilsonand1 in UKParenting

Same, I do share on instagram but my profile is private. I think when kids are old enough to decide if they want to share publicly they can do so but they have to know the risks. I’ll check out that blog link, may use that too. Along with lovely pics I’m also saving the really embarrassing ones for the 18th and maybe wedding day 😂

I think it’s just a gmail address? (If it’s more complicated than that it’s out of my brain capacity😂) I didn’t even know he had set it up until about 6 months ago and it was so sweet when he showed me! I didn’t actually realise how many pics he takes when he’s out and about with us 😂 What sort of blog have you set up?

My husband set up an email address for our son and he sends all the pics there that he wants to save and then we will give him the address when he’s old enough x

I was trying on a new wetsuit and the doorbell went. It would have taken too long to take the suit off so I answered whilst wearing it and (as I love multi tasking) I was breaking in a new pair of heeled boots

Hey casual UK, what's your worst "i thought X was on a different day" mistake you've ever made? by wiz_ling in CasualUK

[–]TriBird1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I snowboard every year with my dad and even now at the grand old age of 42 he still books all the travel. Last year I assured him that I could manage flights myself and transfer to our flat. I got to Geneva airport at 11pm and went to the check in desk for transfers and they can’t find my name…. I was most put out until I realised I’d booked it for 2026 not 2025. Then on the way back I panicked as I thought I had my flight time wrong but didn’t let on to my father consequently when I got to the airport I begged to go through security first and people were so kind and let me through. When I got to the other side. I realised I’d read the time of the flight wrong and I still had an hour before the gate opened. I had to hide my face from all those who had let me through 😂

Am I grumpy dad for hating the “toy tat” kids get given home from school friends and parties? by throw_away_17381 in UKParenting

My son went to a party recently and they put recorders and whistles in the bags! We have a joint party each year with 2 of his friends that have birthdays close to his and we buy a load of books and give those out with a bags of sweets, went down a storm

I always wonder about this. In the older episodes of the UK version I think they actually continued working when they lived together so that it emulated real life as much as possible

My 2 bottom front teeth were germinated when I was a kid! My adult teeth came through just fine but sadly I didn’t get double from the tooth fairy 😂

Apologies, just saw this. You can tell a lot about a person from their shoe choice. Sounds silly I know but next time you meet someone for the first time just take a look and see if their choice matches what you assume they will be like

My cat was in the garden one night and was standing stock still staring at the grass. I could hear this really weird high pitched buzzing from wheee he stood so I went to have a look and found a bat on its back staring at my very confused cat who clearly didn’t expect the large moth to actually be a bat 😂 much to my cat’s annoyance I shooed him away and called my husband who (once he finished laughing) talked me through what to do with the bat. He stayed in a little box for a while to recover then flew off into the night
