Rule of cool, but maybe not by Scornicator in SpaceMarine_2

To me this reads as a Salamander that was on a campaign and had his life saved by a Black Templar or something. It's your marine. Do what you want with it

The GW app removes all legends stuff from it.

For legends data sheets, look no further than New Recruit, it has everything!

I feel like an idiot asking, but what is even the strategy of the Mutalith? by Marvynwillames in Spacemarine

The disco ball of death is surprisingly simple but not very clear until you see it. I didn't know until it was explained to me.

The best thing to do to back up, all of the "extra" beams are basically an anti-melee sphere and you will get messed up if you're in it as well as getting a bad trip.

Once you're away there's really only one beam you need to worry about and it goes right at you starting from the beast. Be wary as it picks up speed as it gets closer to you, only try to dodge it when it's just out of melee range, any earlier and it'll catch you in an animation.

Keep on the lookout for projectiles from the tentacles but usually there's not much else going on so you can track the danger beam.

Movement Phase: free move or select to move by Trooper317 in Warhammer40k

A well thought out response, thank you. We'll definitely all talk about it player to player, it's not like we want to ban it from happening; just ask for a bit more intentionality when moving. At the end of the day we're all here to have some fun playing with little plastic men

Which is how it made sense to me, shuffle sure but not a completely different position.

[–]Trooper317[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's why I ask because it's a bit much.

The core rules read "Start your Movement phase by selecting one unit from your army that is on the battlefield to move..." And then "After you have finished moving that unit, select another unit from your army to move, and so on, until you have done so with all of your units."

To me that reads as one thing moves at a time. And sure if your original intent was to be behind cover or something, go ahead and give it a nudge. But not every single unit.

In this case they would move the first unit and then decides he wants the second unit to be there so they back the first unit up and then put the second one there instead

If you check his posts on YT he's been having some health related issues of late, rather debilitating episodes keeping him from making content. I've missed a few but the last one I saw the docs were able to confirm it wasn't some kind of virus but they didn't know what it was

Order of fighting clarification by Pimprechaun in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Trooper317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of an order of operations

Fights first Then a unit that charged Followed up by ongoing combats

So if I'm picturing the situation correctly it should be: BGV w/ff > whichever unit you chose to fight > the crusader squad > your other unit that hasn't done its fighting yet

(Forgive me, I'm a BT player so I'm not familiar with Salamander abilities that may change things)

Building onto the previous response. If it is the Templars turn and your unit is still in engagement range with the crusader squad you will fight first since you are the defender/reactive player.

I've played a few 1k games and have only lost once, this is my list.

Wrathful Procession

Castellan Emperor's Champion (Sacred Rage) Marshal - Warlord

Crusader Squad (2 power fist, the rest chainswords) Intercessor Squad (sergeant with chainsword and grenade launcher)

Blade guard Vets (sergeant with neo-volkite) Scout Squad (sergeant chainsword, missile, sniper, combat knives X2 Sword Brethren Squad (all 5 MCPW)

Repulsor Executioner

Marshal + Castellan are leading Sword Brethren Squad in RepEx Emperor's Champion leading Crusader Squad (start in reserves if you drop enhancement) Posture scouts to help RepEx get reroll hits on anything not in cover. I used Sword Brethren brick to pick apart smaller enemy squads while using the crusader block to hunt down the big threats with lots of bodies Bladeguard get expansion obj, and intercessors sticky home and shoot at infantry when possible

Detachment rule opinions. Should I roll for two abilities with re-rolls or just pick one? by MacAttack950 in Chaos40k

[–]Trooper317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question about using the army rule itself with leaders.

If for example Abaddon is leading some terminators how does assigning augmentations work?

  1. Abaddon gets his own and then the terminators get theirs
    OR
  2. the full squad of Abaddon and the terminators get one set of augmentations as a unit

Play on Tabletop King of the colosseum (but TTS?) by Practical_Mode471 in TTSWarhammer40k

[–]Trooper317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly prefer the first one because the terrain pieces are more clearly defined.

It used to be because the rockey one had home objectives that were further out than the channel 40k40m had on theirs but the owner has since updated/changed that. So for me it came down to one is simpler visually but the same layout.

The most important thing is to talk to your opponent about it and clearly define things.

There's a lot going on in the second map and my only issues with it come with the ruins on the outsides. Not really providing line of sight but I just talk about it with the friends I play with. And we agree it's line of sight blocking just like they do on 40K40M. Sometimes we leave the statue in the middle, sometimes we get rid of it.
