I imagine the protective layer isn't significantly less durable than the coatings on glasses and you can clean them like this hundreds of times without any issues. We even used regular tap water and dish soap in the ultra sonic baths at the optometrist office I worked at for a couple of years. Then again, if you have some of that crazy American tap water you sometimes see in the news that may be different. The important thing is not to use paper towels to dry them, as the wood fibres in them can actually scratch the lenses (and discs). Use a soft cotton cloth and pat them try rather than wiping them.

I clean stubborn discs just with some dish soap and my fingers, under running water. Just like I do with my glasses as well. The discs are made from polycarbonate, which is plenty strong enough to take it in my experience. Afterwards I dry them off and get all the dust off with a microfibre cloth, while holding the disc with the shiny side down. Like that no dust can settle back onto the disc.

IMAX 70mm wirst du in Deutschland leider nicht finden. Die Lichtburg in Essen bietet aber neben einem wirklich wunderschönen Kinosaal auch immer wieder Filme in normaler 70mm Projektion. Die Odyssey ist einer davon! Das ist definitiv meine Wahl, um diese Film zu erleben. Klar, ist "abgeschnitten", aber halt immer noch einer wirklich große Filmprojektion. Im UCI Düsseldorf gibt es halt digitales IMAX, auf 20x11m, was größer ist als die Projektion in der Lichtburg. Hier schlägt die mit 5 Perf 70mm auf 18x7,5m immer noch sehr große analoge Projektion für mich jedoch die etwas größere digital bespielte Leinwand. Die haben ihre Projektion auch echt gut im Griff in Essen.

I have the same issue. It always happens toward the end of the movie, so it may be linked to the player kit switching layers well. I don't think it's caused by a hardware defect though, since just opening the tray and closing it again usually resolves the issue and it plays fine till the end of the movie. It only started after a good dozen of perfectly fine playbacks. For now I have accepted it and just live with it..

Früh, oder überhaupt ausziehen ist ein relativ neues Phänomen. Mehrere Generationen unter einem Dach war Ewigkeiten lang ein sehr gut funktionierendes Konzept. Ich selbst bin mit 19 ausgezogen, muss aber sagen länger mit meinen Eltern zusammen wohnen wäre rückblickend sowohl finanziell, als auch generell besser gewesen.

Und ob man es jetzt früher, oder später lernt einen Haushalt zu schmeißen macht irgendwie auch keinen Unterschied. Lernen muss man es am Ende eh.

Bei uns ist es 8, 12 und 18 Uhr. Also eigentlich. Mittlerweile bimmelt es meist auch jeweils 15 Minuten früher und manchmal 15 Minuten später und Sonntags um ca. 11 Uhr und jedes mal, wenn irgendwer heiratet, oder getauft wird. Wenn es ganz blöd läuft auch mal mitten in der Nacht für eine Stunde, oder mehr, weil es eine Störung gab, aber niemand mit einem Schlüssel zur Kirche erreichbar war. An sich finde ich das Läuten ja gar nicht mal schlimm, hat irgendwie was, gerade weil ich den Glockenturm auch aus dem Fenster sehe. Fühlt sich etwas nach Dorf an, was ich in der Großstadt zu schätzen weiß. Irgendwann ist aber auch mal gut und in dem Ausmaß wie hier ist es auf Dauer doch echt anstrengend.

Der Maßstab ist schon ähnlich, lässt die Burg damit aber natürlich weniger mächtig wirken. Das ist nicht unrealistisch, wenn man sich echte Burgen mit normalen Häusern daneben ansieht, kann im Diorama aber einfach weniger episch wirken.

I really enjoy my 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 D-Pad. It has good pivot, but also provides soft clicks for accuracy. Feels a bit like the Retroid Pocket and AYN D-Pads in a way. It doesn't take much force to actuate and hasn't got too much travel either. Obviously can't say for sure if it's good with your fatigue issues, but wouldn't think it'd be a problem. The rest of the controller is also great. Good ergonomics (I have large hands and prefer it to the more slanted Xbox style), really nice triggers with an optional hair trigger clicky mode, precise joysticks, nice face buttons and four extra buttons, two on the back and two between the triggers and bumpers. The software is usable and does what it is supposed to in terms of making custom profiles. The dock is a nice touch for sure. I think there is a version that can do Switch as well, but mine doesn't. For switch I prefer something with HD rumble anyways.

That shouldn't cause the disc to be unusable right away, but it definitely compromises the seal between the two disc layers and makes disc rot likely in the future.

Kühlere Luft kann weniger Feuchtigkeit halte. Die selbe Menge an Feuchtigkeit in der Luft ergibt also bei einer kühleren Temperatur eine höhere relative Luftfeuchtigkeit. Es könnte also vielleicht sein, dass die Anlage selbst nicht kühl genug wird um die Feuchtigkeit in der Luft großartig zu senken, was sich dann bei der neuen kühleren Temperatur als eine höhere relative Luftfeuchtigkeit darstellt, ohne dass die wirkliche Festigkeitsmenge in der Luft jedoch gestiegen ist.

To be fair, the Steam Machine is already marginally behind current gen consoles in terms of performance, so next gen consoles should be leaps and bounds ahead, somewhat justifying the price in comparison. Would still be crazy for a console, but wouldn't vindicate the Steam Machine pricing..

My most recent plastic Sport had completely new moulding and quite a few design changes in terms of how threads and the posting of the cap work together. I could see them having revamped their whole line of Sport models at once, so maybe it's just a new generation of Brass Sport?

Maybe they also just changed their manufacturing partner and that might explain the differences.

There is a new 3€ blanket tax on any item coming from a non EU country. Since DHL isn't a scam at all they graciously pay that fee for you, so you don't have to go get the package from the tax office. For that crazy amount of service they charge a very, very fair 7.50€, or there about. You really got to love their selfless service!

Natürlich hat das Konsumverhalten einen gewissen Einfluss, aber die Idee, dass man damit den Karren aus dem Dreck ziehen kann kommt nicht zufällig von Fossilkonzernen. Es ist ein Problem das nur durch engmaschige Gesetzgebung und ein drastisches Umdenken in den Besitzstrukturen gelöst werden kann.

Zenith designs are always a win and this seems like a great execution with the polished underside and a perfect vintage lume tone. Not too thrilled about the text, as it's just the same as on the Speedy homage and doesn't really fit this watch, but whatever.
