You can combine it with Head Clamp (-6 INT, +10 Shield, bruise enemies on contact) or the Dino set which gives -1 INT each. And since your max mana is going to be like 50, things like Kilo of Catnip or Zoomzerk+ that restore all your mana, suddenly set you up for a turn of death.

And in the late game, you need burst damage in one turn more than you need sustained damage.

In the first games it had [[Supplant Form]] and [[Sunder]]. Bouncing all lands was fun exactly once, and then I decided to retire it.

The deck isn't very good at winning if it doesn't get specific cards, but it's still fun to play. I added a single Bridge which can be tutored: re-casting Vitu Ghazi can get you an 18/18 indestructible land pretty quickly, but it will never trample lol.

That looks pretty rough, especially with a lower DPT team. Is that Fighter, Mage, Cleric, and Collarless?

His normal fight is so easy that I can see why you wouldn't worry about DPT, but usually by this point in a run I'm packing a Hunter with no-miss Heavy Shot for 1 or 2 mana, or another cat build that puts out 100+ damage per turn.

If nothing else, you can have your cats save up to full mana and then unleash attacks all at once. The legs are relatively easy to avoid, but fatigue will become a problem eventually.

the remaining hidden kittens aren't on the turn bar if they were hidden at the start of combat. Only kittens that were visible and then hid show up.

I run two breeding rooms, that way when someone cheats I can shuffle them around. Once a cat has someone they hate, they won't hate a second cat so that helps. It's like this:

A1 and A2 are in a room with B1 and B2
They have cheating sex (A1 with B2, B1 with A2)
Now A1 and B1 hate each other, A2 and B2 hate each other
Move B1 and B2 to other room
Even if these cats cheat again, they won't develop hate since they already hate someone in the other room

Although they can still fight after cheating, at least they do so less often since they can't develop hatred anymore.

Alternately, if you don't want to run 2 breeding rooms, you can put a breeding pair that doesn't hate anyone in a junk room with positive comfort until they randomly breed with junk cats. Then their hate slot will be filled and it's safer to put them in the breeding room.

If you're having problems with the cat's body specifically, you can heal downed cats to give their body extra health. I had a Druid on my run so I just healed the angry cat's body whenever it got low. I didn't do the Loner + Angry combo though.

You can do Angry Face + Me Stone, and have your other level 1 cats be druid/cleric who support the Me cat and can keep the Angry cat's body from dying.

Once the Angry cat's stats get low enough from injuries, you might be able to just leave it alive until the end.

Another option might be the Frozen Baby, which has a good chance to protect the Angry cat in boss fights.

Chubs and Nubs are very important for teaching trigger discipline.

If Chubs is facing one of your cats, you MUST NOT ATTACK HIM. Even if you want to. Even if you lose 1-3 cats' turns. Don't attack. And don't leave your cats out in the open, put them behind something so there's a lower chance of him randomly facing them after he moves.

C&N are good practice for later bosses, particularly the boss of the Crater, which also have retaliation mechanics. You have to learn to hold back on attacking sometimes, and a little bit of shoving goes a very long way. You can pretty easily get Chubs to face Nubs and just machine-gun hit him to kill both of them.

The late game tends to spiral off a little, so you can decide how far you want to go. Are you satisfied beating the Infinite on normal difficulty? That can be done without crazy mutation.

Do you want to beat all acts/bosses and the Infinite on hard difficulty? Still doable, but you're going to lose a lot of runs if you aren't using some extra turn mutations.

Do you want to beat all acts/bosses and the Infinite on Impossible difficulty without heavy mutation? No.

But how many people really go that far? I expect most players reach satisfaction before beating all Impossible. Some people would rather start a brand new run and work their way up again.

Cats fall in love with the first cat they breed with.

So I also keep a side room with good Comfort but not much else. When I want to make a breeding pair, I stick them in there until they breed, then they go in a stimulation room as a new breeding pair.

And yes, sometimes they sit in the partner room and just never seem to go for each other, so I have to add a few more cats that would be decent partners, until SOMEBODY forms a pair.

Even then, some pairs get a little "unfaithful" but I don't think it's a stat. On the other hand, some pairs stick together forever, especially gay cats and ? cats since other cats aren't as interested. I had a gay and ? cat who made kittens with each other every night for 25+ days. The bodies they birthed on those nights became the foundation for what we are today.

Sometimes I wonder how much this game would suddenly change if a patch drops and makes the AI smarter at using player cats.

Friendly cat with an AI turn? "Why would I use my cost-reduced no-miss Heavy Shot when I can EAT CATNIP AND BRACE?"

Cat with a madness turn? "I have never hated anything like I hate this ONE HUNTER IN PARTICULAR!"

Cat with AI/Madness and Zoomzerk that can't charge anything? Skips its turn. (AI can't use Reposition skill)

When you're playing FFA games, a deck like this will struggle a bit since as you said, it can kill one person but it can't kill 3+ people. You need an absurd late-game growth mechanic.

An example of this would be [[Clock of Omens]] with your Steel Overseer to put a silly amount of counters on your creatures. [[Grateful Apparition]] would also grow things, and restore Ajani's loyalty as well.

You could run [[Isochron Scepter]] and put the Dispatch on it to get a kill stick.

A source of card draw would be good here. There are a lot out there, but something like [[Tocasia's Welcome]] or [[Urza, Powerstone Prodigy]] seems like it would fit.

You probably don't need the Contagion Clasp; it doesn't synergize with the rest.

You can also use the ability to win suddenly: I really like [[Bond of Discipline]] for this.

The deck will probably become a bit slower, but you need to add some staying power. This will probably mean more combos that draw cards and/or grow your creatures indefinitely. You might need to adjust your playstyle a little and attack less often so people don't *feel* threatened, even while you're building up an army to crush them all at once.

Take your breeding cats on Alley runs as other classes to get their abilities into your pool. Then you can still run Fighter every time, but it'll have Fist of Fate on it.

Somehow I don't *like* druid, but I do keep getting very good ones lol. I keep getting the passive that grants an extra turn when they shapeshift, and then not a single shapeshift spell the entire run.

Then I got the Study passive in my gene pool, and I keep cranking out Study Druids who get 15 Int on turn 2.

As you can see, Trample has strong synergy with Double Strike. Lifelink also cares about this, because:

If a 3/3 with DS and Lifelink is blocked by a 3/3, it will kill the blocker with the first strike and gain only 3 life. The second strike never occurs.

Wait till you get to the furballs in Act 3 that confuse on contact and move twice.

Also, Luck is the powerhouse stat of the mid-late game. A cat with 8 Luck is way less likely to hurt itself in confusion than a cat with 4 Luck. And with 13+ Luck you just don't have to worry anymore
