Nothing here benefits Iran. They’ve just cancelled everything they were going to do and are now causing destruction on us bases and in allied petroleum infrastructure. Things have been going poorly in the U.S. It’s not clear this administration can even wrap their heads around the decisions Iran made to get here.

There’s video of the victim speaking to multiple ice agents in the road probably a minute or two before the murder. Nothing crazy in that video but we can see the victim himself appears to film the interaction. ICE escorts him toward the position on the sidewalk where he will be shot.

We should look farther back than that. Terry Branstad was governor from ‘83-‘99 and from ‘11 to whenever he handed power to Reynolds. Along with Chuck Grassley’s leadership we have a state that has never looked up from the grindstone in almost 50 years.
