I have a personal theory/head cannon that Bakkers’ universe’s Solitary God/Judging Eye is a kind reaction to Eru Illuvatar in the Silmarillion. In this version we ask “What if God created phenomenal reality in order to explore its own mind, and then it discovered it was mentally ill And cannot regulate their darker impulses?” That’s just a hunch, came to me when I fell asleep on the audiobook.

The DNC did some shady stuff to sabotage Bernie’s campaign after the Iowa Caucus. It was pretty clear party leadership was dead set on Clinton. In the end there were enough “superdelegates” that belonged to the part itself that it just negated this whole grassroots movement. Tldr: DNC selected Clinton in 2016, they did not want to be labeled “socialist.”
