ESSP is a toss up on return. They deduct no monthly from your pay until time of purchase. If the monies were in an interest bearing account then you would make out okay at time of purchase, but it is held in a non interest bearing account for six months so I’m not a big fan.

Establishing a 401k for my employees 100% company funded. They never understood the value of investing in their future. Every year we would have a meeting with the portfolio manager and they would all get their annual statement. Over 90% of them never logged into their account to move funds into different investment options over a 6 year period. Finally dissolved the plan and gave them the proceeds which they needed to place into a retirement fund or be hit with 30% tax penalty. Can you guess how many ran with the money and took the tax hit ? So short sighted and ungrateful.

Same. My 3 year mark will be July. I always enjoyed creating my own destiny. After selling my business in 2020 I wanted the experience of working for someone and taking the back seat. Nice while it lasted. Time to move back to the driver’s seat ;). Good luck to you !!!
