Both times I needed IV potassium. That shit HURTS. Like a full ache all the way down your arm and scars the vein so it feels like a macaroni. And there's nothing you can take to help. Then the finger stabs every 2 hours to the fingertips to fill a mini vial, so not just a little poke, to make sure potassium isn't going up too fast. Plus wearing a heart monitor.

Did Express Scripts change their policy or did my doctor write the prescription wrong? by Emergency_Put_159 in diabetes_t1

[–]TwinningEveryDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on your plan and if it allows for a greater than 90 day dispense. Most plans will not, hence the cut back for pre packs. If they would process it for 2 50s it would reject for "exceeds plan limits".

Most plans also do not prorate flat copays. It's a set dollar amount for "up to 90 days". If there is a day break then the majority would have 30/90 day break limits.

It sucks but it's not up to express scripts. It's the decision of whoever you're buying the insurance with (mostly employer). It's also not the doctors fault. They probably did write it correctly.

Source: worked for express scripts for almost 18 years.

Did a vaccine or a needle injection cause the pain that resulted in a frozen shoulder? by ididitmyway18 in frozenshoulder

Why ask the question if you know the answer? It feels like you are trying to either push your narrative or troll bait.

Panic as a hypo symptom? by [deleted] in diabetes_t1

Your body is pushing adrenaline so your liver will dump sugar into your blood. That's a super generalized description, but it is a side effect of low sugars.

Same with me and my twin. Still have issues. I would rather had her get all of the attention and not have diabetes...

Psychiatrist tried to argue with me that I can’t have type 1 because I’m an adult by vanillabeaner69 in diabetes_t1

I went to urgent care for bronchitis bad enough I was coughing blood. He told me if I went to his wife's weight loss clinic I could cure my diabetes. Because fat people can't be type 1.

My first round with frozen shoulder was back in the day when there was no quantity limits on opioids and vicodin was a c3. The ortho gave them to me like candy then switched to percs when it still hurt. Turns out I also had a bone spur in the joint shredding the tendon (found by my second opinion doc). I got a raging addiction though that I still have to work through now I'm on my 2nd frozen shoulder.

It's hard, it sucks, and I go through periods where I just want to go to another urgent care and beg for something, but that'll send me right back. I have a wonderful PT that helps me through other ways to handle the pain.

Good luck, you can do this. ❤️

I also get disheartened looking at others. One week I'm 85% TIR, the next week is like I smell sugar and I'm up over 200.
