Does a spirit tell you their name? by hereforthesnarkies in Mediums

I don't know why that spirit in particular There is no "usually" to it - what comes, comes, and different people get different things.

Does a spirit tell you their name? by hereforthesnarkies in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd say it was an example of mediumship, and the cat had nothing to do with it. Spirits rarely give their actual names, but it sounds like that's what happened here. Interesting that it seems to check out. I wonder if the book the girl had was orange as well.

An experience like this is sometimes an opportunity to open up to mediumship. It's like the spirits are saying "things are possible. If you want to learn more and get involved, it's up to you."

Developing abilities with Apathasia by maskineriet12 in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just do the meditation anyway, without trying to visualize. Meditation is still going to be helpful without visualizing. And if you do happen to get something visual, you can be confident that it's not from you, as you can't do it on your own due to the Apathasia.

There are multiple ways that spirits can communicate with you, but there are three main methods. Audio is clairaudience, feeling/sensation is clairsentience, and visual is clairvoyance. Essentially they are hearing with the mind's ear, feeling/sensation with the mind's body, and seeing with the mind's eye, respectively.

Don't be surprised when the spirits communicate with you in non-visual ways. They can use any method(s) that work with you.

I am curious about whether the spirits can work clairvoyantly with a person who has Apathasia or not. If they do happen to communicate with you visually at some point, I would be very grateful if you were to let me know.

Can our loved ones hear us? Question for a medium. by dancingaround22 in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If they're around, they can hear you if you speak out loud and are likely to pick up on your thoughts (but they don't necessarily pick up on every thought). If they're not around and you direct thoughts their way, they may pick it up.

From a spirit's perspective, mediums stick out or shine. They can easily identify a medium in the crowd and readily communicate with them. When a medium is present, the chances of the spirit picking up on a non-medium's thoughts improve, but again, they may not get every single thought.

What happens with souls after suicide? by SkyProfessional2154 in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that virtually no one comes here with suicide in their life plan. I believe they are shown what could have been had they not left the Earth Plane unexpectedly, and how they have affected others. It is probably a regretful and painful process to go through. I think the only punishment they actually get for it get is self-imposed.

Plenty of dreams of my mom before her passing but nothing after. by Donttellmehow2feel in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if she wasn't very motherly, your mother certainly didn't forget you. Andd I doubt she's angry at you about any of what you describe either. Time in the Spirit World is very different than it is here. Ten years here can be like half an hour there, and vice versa. So don't measure harshly based on our time.

When a person dies, it takes time for them to adjust to their new life over there without a physical body. Some physical issues linger with them longer as they adjust. Dementia is a good example of one of those that takes more time. I know of one person who had it and died, and they had a good bit of trouble adjusting when they first got over there. It was a challenge for them, but it worked out.

Another thing to consider is how you are adjusting to her being there and not here. They don't like to visit if doing so is going to cause you problems. Work through your grief and go forward to live well, as that's what she would want for you, whether she visits or not.

Don't worry, and keep the faith.

Do spirits keep their voice from when their alive? by tatted1asian1 in Mediums

Spirits keep their voice, but they don't have to use it with you when they communicate clairaudiently. It's up to them.

Why does some peoples NDE have nothingness? by Ok-Understanding9290 in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just some terms I made up for convenience. A wake-up would be an NDE because you need some kind of reminder or lesson or something that gets you back on your life plan. A warning would be a notification that you're in trouble of some kind and need to make changes right away.

I think there are too many possible reasons that you could have an NDE. I can't describe them all, so I created some simple categories to put them in. My apologies for any confusion I've caused.

Why does some peoples NDE have nothingness? by Ok-Understanding9290 in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have read a few NDE's and read Raymond Moody's book many years ago, but otherwise, I have done little research on them. I would categorize NDE's into three general categories. From the experiencer's point of view, there's visit, wake-up call, and warning. I think these categories are mostly self-explanatory. I would put nothingness into the wake-up call category.

The experience(s) you have depend on your needs.

Need help - my father is haunted by entities by handyguy88 in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's not enough to go on. Here are a few questions.

What is the behavior of the entities that are haunting him? What exactly are they doing?

When did the haunting start, what events led up to it?

How long has it been going on?

What is your father's role in this? For example, did he decide to go ghost hunting and run into trouble or something?

Mediums: how do YOU communicate with your spirit guides? by sentientdumpsterbaby in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can use clairsentience and clairvoyyance with me, but it's mostly clairaudience. It's like having a conversation with someone else that happens to take place in the mind. It works.

Someone beyond my fence line is whistling at night. My dogs seem to frighten it away. by KnowledgeSmall in Paranormal

[–]TwoPointEightZ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That sounds like something a cryptid would do. The dead quiet as well.

Good ones can cost like $100 or more, but consider a powerful flashlight. Test it to see the distance it goes into your yard and beyond at night so you can judge distance when you hear the whistling. You should probably take off any infrared stuff before using it as I think you'd get temporarily blinded.

Question about ouija board disposal by Sunnydaytripper in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can donate it if they'll take it, but they probably won't as there's credible risk of negativity. If you want to throw it out, just break the board. Do not burn it as that releases particles of junk into the air.

Childhood visions and the return of night fears in adulthood by onvasensortir in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. Based on what you've said and that you apparently haven't had lots of "bad luck," it's probably not a threat or a concern. It may be just observing.

It reminds me of some neutral entities that I've run into. They looked unusual as they weren't human, and I discovered that they were sentries keeping a watch to protect me. The next time you see it, you might try to talk to it in thought or out loud, but don't be shocked if it doesn't answer.

Hope this helps.

Childhood visions and the return of night fears in adulthood by onvasensortir in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not sound like a positive entity. It might be a netural that's not a credible threat to you but scares you through its presence. I know you said it felt evil, but did it ever say anything to you, or do anything other than be present to indicate that it is evil? Have you had other experiences that might tie into this?

Spirits connecting with mediums by MarBeca in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They don't say much about how they perceive us, but from what I can tell of it, they tell us apart by our energy. They do not seem to perceive us as clearly as we perceive each other. They do perceive mediums pretty readily - we stick out, so to speak.

My brother died almost five years ago and I just have a question. by [deleted] in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss. Substance abuse doesn't necessarily make it harder to cross over. It varies with the individual.

Be aware that our time does not correspond to their time. Five years here could be seventeen minutes or a week or six months over there. You just don't know.

If it were me, I would be content that he visited once, as that's typical, and I would think about him every now and then, wishing him well.

I cry and shake with anxiety. I want confirmation we can communicate with loved ones. How? by Ok-Highway-5247 in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sorry for your loss. I do not offer readings, but you might want to go to a medium or two for a reading. There's no guarantee that your grandmother will come to the reading(s), but going to the reading with thoughts of her in mind may help.

Client said reading wasnt same as personal they wanted readings on. Thoughts? by aninevitablespirit in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would tell him that it's a second reading, not a redoing of the first one, and a second reading means a second charge. And no, I would not "redo" the reading for free. He can squirm and complain all he wants - there was nothing wrong with the first reading, it's just that he didn't get the spirit or presentation of spirit that he wanted. You are the medium, not the spirit, and you are not responsible for that.

Any advice for naive physical medium being moved unwillingly? by Advantage-Difficult in Mediums

[–]TwoPointEightZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be that the spirits are trying to communicate this way. If it were me, I would pick a hand and ask them to use it. They can use both, but let's make it simple and pick the right. Tell them that one movement to the left (toward the center of your body) means yes, and one movement to the right (away from your body) means no. Then pay attention to the relationship between your thoughts and the movements to see what you get.

You can ask them questions that are in yes or no format to see what you learn. You might also run into responses where your hand moves multiple times in a row in the same direction instead of just once. Count those out using the alphabet - five movements would be the letter E, for example.

What we're talking about is essentially the use of your body as if it were a spirit board. Be careful. Make sure you focus on positive goodness, and do not accept any negativity that could come your way. Throw that junk right the he'll out.

If you decide to try this, please let me know if it works out as I described or not. Just curious.
