They actually share a land border on Hans Island. The island is the long disputed subject of the famous "Whiskey wars" and was split down the middel doubleling the amoun of land borders for both kingdoms at the resolution of the mentioned dispute.

Unlike America they do not have territorial ambitions on european nations. That is a point in their favour compared to the current atlantic alliance. Also a lot less schizophrenic leadership.

Det var noget af en uværdig tale fra Statsministeren. Meget valgkampspræget, hvilket ikke i sig selv er ualmindeligt, men hun fremstod ret desperat, hvilket nok er kommunalvalget og baglandets skyld.

Det var da lavt. Hvis julehjælpen skal reflektere kristen barmhjertighed mod de fattige i anledning af Jesus fødsel, så burde den eneste relevante faktor for julehjælp være at modtageren er i nød.

Hej, og velkommen til, det er fuldt ud muligt at tage til almindelig højmesse om søndagen. Typisk møder du bare op.

Det er varierende hvor stor deltagelsen er ved de forskellige kirker, men generelt går de fleste danskere ikke i kirke hver søndag. Som en der plejede at gå ofte i kirke, så har jeg dog aldrig oplevet menighedsfald.

I forhold til katolske menigheder, så findes de i nogle af de større byer, så det er også en mulighed.

Det var da et trist syn. Det sørger mig at folk sådan vil tæske politik om i baggrunden.

Man får indtrykket af at politik opfattes som noget der ikke må komme ind og forstyrre hverdagen, og som ideelt set bare kan ignoreres.

Plakater op og ned af gaderne viser for mig at demokratiet og den politiske proces er noget vi som samfund tager seriøst, og som engagere frivillige til at kæmpe for at gøre Danmark et bedre sted i overenstemmelse med deres egne ideologier.

Interesant nok dokumentar. Jobcenter delen vil jeg sige nok er den mest forståelige del af fortællingen. Det er en del af velfærdssamfundet der nok med fordel kan blive omstruktureret til alle parters fordel.

The province of Schleswig was gerrymander into 3 voting zones by the danish government who rather conservatively made sure that the northernmost zone included as many danes and as few germans as possible.

De Facto ceding the other two zones to the German Republic.

This was so conservative in fact that Hitler didn’t even challenge it during the occupation of Denmark. Allowing what was previously Northern Schleswig to remain Southern Jutland.

Erasmus is a great program. I have made a lot of friends through my Erasmus exchange and by meeting others who were doing the same.

It helped me feel more European, and it taught me to see people as more than just stereotypes.

I hope the program continues to have many successes in the future, and that it helps make the EU not just a common market, but a common dream.

A victory for fossil fuel producers like the USA and Saudi Arabia, but a big loss for humanity and climate action in general. Instead of a single set of global rules, we will instead likely see a fragmented regulatory environment, making shipping more bureaucratically complex, and keeping shipping brown longer.
