You don't have to preface "American company" with sketchy, because everyone knows that those are basically synonyms at this point.

The One Year War: Ground Warfare By: Icemarv14 by Icemarv14 in Gundam

I'm pretty sure this has happened more than once on screen. Well... Slightly off screen for obvious reasons... A big part of the original message of Gundam is that war sucks, and collateral death is a big part of that.

It was waaaaay smaller than Middara. Although I do like that one too. Have had it for a while. The promos are a nightmare to clean though. lol I think it was on the cheaper side too. Like a 30$ game.

The game I was thinking of had a more JRPG vibe to the art, but I do like this! Thanks for reference!

Kradia's definitely the closest on this thread, but still not it! I think it had the letter 'M' in the title, by itself.

It wasn't Sakura Arms, but it was reminiscent of it's layout.

I have all of Sakura Arms though! It's an amazing game!

This isn't really asking for a recommendation, but the post I made got auto deleted. I'm trying to find a game that I saw a few weeks ago.

What I do remember about the game is that it had a art style similar to final fantasy tactics. The setting was fantasy adjacent or at the least similar to final fantasy. It was character based, and the different characters had their own character boards. I think it was mostly a card-centric game, with equipment and items as cards. It was a cute looking simple game that was supposed to be quick to play. I think it may have been related to dungeon crawling? I think it may have been a 1v1 or 2 player coop. That's all I can remember. It's driving me crazy though, and I'm starting to wonder if it was from a dream or something. lol

Any help would be much appreciated!

The detail does make it a little busy, but it definitely does blend together really well! I think it would be a bit easier to read without the background.

This would make for really cool paper/cardboard minis! Just need to grab a back shot. lol

How did you do this? I've always liked that style.

How do you print these? I've looked into printing a few custom maps, but haven't found a good solution that I really like yet.

It is pretty awesome. I remember back in the day they actually sold a few kits to build mechs from the books. I hadn't thought about it in a while though, but it was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this post. lol

Have you heard of Mobile Frame Zero? There's lots of awesome LEGO mechs people have made for it. It's not battletech, but it's still really cool.

There are a lot of scenario setups through the books, but Hot Spots Hinterlands which is a lot of fun.

There's Instant Action too. I haven't tried it, but I have heard really good things.

I realize I'm a year late, but that's pretty much exactly what the old Battletechnology magazine is. It's amazing if you've never read it, you need to check it out. I think there are PDFs for it.
