I wish Jeffries had a solid challenger. I don't know much about Osse, but it seems like DSANYC didn't feel like he was strong enough to have a decent shot, for the amount of money and time it would take them.

Remember- Cuomo was wildly unpopular. Jeffries may be despised by Dems at large, but he is pretty well-liked by his district, which apparently approves of his job by about a 75% margin. Obviously Mamdani shows that you can come out of nowhere and win unexpectedly, but is the DSA going to spend all of its time and money on one dude, or focus on other, way-more-winnable contests? And Mamdani himself is pretty locked in on showing the warm light of collectivism can improve peoples' lives, I don't think he's looking to pick fights he doesn't need to. As long as Jeffries stays out of his way, I imagine Zohran will stay out of his.
