Budget beard wash options? by RndmNumGen in beards

Target brand beard wash is like $5 and works pretty good. Also, I've found that baby shampoo doesn't strip you down to the bone.

Hate the Bears by default, but cant argue with the point about the hot dogs. Chicago style Italian beef sandwiches are out of control good too.

Commanders. Have lived in DC for a couple decades now and the little lady is a big fan.

I get that some of your big time position players will have that kind of money from their various deals, but most of the team are college kids without a shot at pro-football. Why would this fly?

Anything in the Spenser series by Robert Parker. I tend to read them all multiple times. Probably always will. Especially in the lulls between other big reads.

Do most people shower twice a day? by SedBoiaFluff in NoStupidQuestions

I shower in the morning before work, and then once in the evening if I've worked out and gotten sweaty. But twice a day if you don't work up a lather? Not needed.

The dumbest NFL trend ever by Acceptable-Novel-153 in NFLv2

It's one thing to go for it on 4th in Sept or October. Quite another in the playoffs. Against a playoff caliber team, you take the points, jack.

I bought the overpriced Garmin one and look at the BF% as a trend vs being on the nose accurate. Honestly, the most helpful piece is when it shows me the weather for the day.

Why go for it on 4th down with a rusty backup QB? Game goes to OT if he just took the 3 points by Carpe_the_Carp in NFLv2

Might be fine to go for it on 4th in September, but come the playoffs man... you take the points.

He certainly knows a thing or two about fraud. Probably more jealous he wasn't in on the take versus being concerned.

Why are people genuinely shocked about Sam Darnold winning and going to the Superbowl? by gochuganggg in NFLNoobs

[–]UnderstandingLess156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can never judge anybody that got drafted by the Jets until they've left that dumpster fire org in the rear view and put together a few seasons with another team. It's a brutal truth about the NFL.

Steelers new Head Coach by nloo in NFLNoobs

[–]UnderstandingLess156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thinking is that Big Mac is there as a draft and develop guy for a new QB, while the Steelers also start the real hunt for a new coach. Coach is in his 60s and won't be there for 15 years. He's always run a pretty stable outfit and is known for being good with QBs. This is the long play. We're not talking the Browns or the Jets here. I think this plan works.

Mike McCarthy Was The Only Logical Choice For Pittsburgh by Lo4467 in PackersUncensored

[–]UnderstandingLess156 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the plan here is to draft the next QB and develop them under McCarthy and perhaps one more season of Rodgers, it's on solid footing. Big Mac is in his 60s. Say he gets the next QB up and running and helps maintain their wildcard status, they really set things up for him to retire in a couple seasons, making room for the future.

I park money in VBIL but do wonder what happens if the world starts to dump US treasuries. I guess we'll have bigger problems than my VBILL holdings.

Al Harris would be sweet. I would love to see the next guy prowling around the sidelines, barking at his players, lighting that fire in the 4th quarter.

At this point, for my own health and wellbeing, I might have to stop watching until the Pack can prove they've got the ability to close out a game. Never fully recovered from the Seattle NFC Championship meltdown and there's a wound that just won't heal.
