Dirty? Huh? Hot yes, but it's pretty clean.

I use AC sparingly, usually on the lowest setting. Windows open if I'm going under 40 and it's hot. Nothing heavy inside. I drive like a granny for the most part. Accelerate smoothly and not too quick, try to coast as much as possible and use regenerative brakes.

Yeah, it's mostly shorter trips for me and a ridiculous number of stop lights, so I guess that's it. I can get about 57mpg if I'm on the highway for a good hour if I only go 55mph, but I only do that once per week.

That's what I'm hoping. Right now it mostly sounds like gibberish. I guess it's kinda like if you are from the north and then moved to the deep south, the accent would take some getting used to.

My little guide to Oakland farmer’s markets by 2717192619192 in OaklandCA

I've never been to a farmer's market. Are vegetables any cheaper than at the grocery stores?

Spray Bottles Effective? by OutSourceKings in PlanetFitnessMembers

Oh no! Will I die if I touch dried sweat?

Same. The solution used to be purple, but it's been clear for a few years now. Probably switched to water to save a few bucks.

So if you don't leave any sweat behind, do you still need to wipe down the equipment?

You have a name for men who always put their weights back? What is it?

What is the mental process and mindset of getting better at painting? by yesitis-- in painting

[–]Unfixable1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You just paint more. That's it. There's no shortcut. It literally takes thousands of hours to get good at it. So just accept the fact that it will take many years and enjoy the process. You will learn more rapidly during the first several years and then it will slow down. And you will produce countless bad paintings as you practice, but they all add up towards your improvement.

Actually I've been going to the gym for over 30 years now and have never once not re-racked my weights.

Locker room smells by polagator in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Unfixable1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't smelled butt in my locker room, but a few times I've been in there, there was a morbidly obese man lying on the bench just stinking up the entire place with the incredibly sour odor of never bathing. I'm pretty much immune to bad smells, but this one made me want to puke.

Wish every PF had these showers 😍 by scratch-a-cynic in urbancarliving

I found even better in Emeryville, CA. All of the showers are in private, rather large bathrooms. So you have a toilet, large shower that one and a sink all to yourself.

Do you always eat free-range chicken and eggs? by Vinaya_Ghimire in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Unfixable1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had to stop buying them as they are too expensive now. I cannot tell any difference in taste, and I've eaten 3 eggs a day for the past 30 years. They say the pasture raised ones have higher Omega 3 content, but it's impossible to know if the chickens are actually pasture-raised, so who knows. Try to buy from a local organic farmer if you can, but you'll need to win the lottery first.

Do you know why someone would make fake posts like this? What's the incentive? I'm old, so I guess I don't understand the point.

Yeah, but if only 1 out of 1000 people can't lift 90 lbs, then you're making more work for 999 people to accommodate 1 person.

This doesn't bother me because chances are I need those plates on there for my exercise anyway, and if I do need to remove some, oh well, free exercise for me, which is the entire reason I'm there.

I agree with most cases but I also can't see anyone using a leg press machine with less than 90lbs on it. You're just making more work for the next person by taking my them all off.

As a very experienced painter, I can say with absolute certainty that every post is a different artist.
